  • That was a pretty silly idea then.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

    • I might have employed some unorthodox means, but regardless, you started it. Let's recall the events leading up to this.

      I. You attack me, or send an ally at me, for four straight turns.

II. I escape your bullying, and begin to rebuild elsewhere.

III. I work towards killing off all of your allies.

IV. Then I mysteriously offer an alliance to you, my only remaining enemy. You get over your mistrust after only a few PMs, and proceed to invent a plan where you split your fleet, and you tell me, the person you spent four straight turns bullying, about it.

      V. Then you contact my number one ally, joncha. He refuses to make a Nonagression pact with you, even after repeated requests.

You conclude from these facts that I am sincere in my desire to be your ally, and that I am certainly not leading a massive conspiracy to defeat you, despite the fact that you led a massive conspiracy to defeat me.

Obviously, you have only yourself to blame for your catastrophic losses. You can't bully a player around and then trust him to help you win.

Hmmm, there can only be one winner in the game, hence you'll have to attack everyone else in the game at some point. You cannot hope to win without building alliances including ones that are formed out of people that you've attcked before.

My weakness is that I will honor all alliances that I form. I refuse to backstab. As much as I wanted to bail on the attack at MORON, (and sent the whole fleet to Joncha), I could not go against my agreement, regardless if I had attacked them before.

If you had not contacted me, I would have kept my whole fleet at home and you would have wiped me out, but I learned something else I should have done as well.

I'm not mad at you Jag, tis only a game, I just know that you cannot be trusted, nor can Snoopy369 be trusted for that matter even though I never attacked him.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

              • Firstly, yes, I will have to attack everyone eventually. Even joncha, Snoopy, and Nuclear. But the longer the alliance holds together, the more likely any one of us is to win.

Although I attacked you partly for revenge, most of it was just that the fleet scared me to death. If I had left you alone this turn, you'd be up over the 400 laser mark. The fact that three people besides me were willing to abandon their bases for an all-out attack on you is a testament to just how much you scared them.

If you hadn't made your fleet look so scary, I wouldn't have taken such desperate measures to stop you. But if you have 340 Lasers, you're just screaming out to everybody "You'd better do something soon, or I will win the game."

                      • It's interesting to see how fleet compositions have changed with the use of alliances. While a single player fleet with all lasers will do the most damage, an allied fleet with a mixed composition will take the fewest casualties. The lesser firepower is not important, since the allies will outnumber anything anyway.
