Col2. If it's done well. I loved Col1 when it came out, and would buy Col2 in a minute, done well. As in, different enough from Civ/SMAC style to be more than just a fancy scenario.

You "start from scratch" in Imperialism, however. There is an Imperalism 1 & 2, you might be able to find either one floating around on the web as abandonware.
