  • Matrix Online

I used to play World of Warcraft, but I had to sell it because I left the country for good.

Anyway, so I was thinking once I have a fast connection set up here in Singapore, I could get back to World of Warcraft, but I think now... if I have to re-do everything I did and in a world that is already well populated with experienced players (it wasn't like that when WoW was newly released), I just don't think I could bother with it, I don't think it would be of any fun.

So I am turning to another MMORPG (I'm not a crazy MMORPG player, WoW was my first and I only played it for a month).

Due to be released is Matrix Online, it looks interesting; ok, many many people now believe that Matrix (the movies) suck, but I still think that the movie is not that bad (I put it up there with Total Recall).

Anyway, could anyone here with any Matrix Online knowledge tell me if this is worth getting?

I've heard alot of people say that it's absolutely horrible, but I've never heard a reason why.

You can't retain your account for WoW?

No it's not that, I basically sold everything I owned and also the fact that the account was set up by my flatmates credit card also explains a lot. (I bought the game, he paid for it monthly, that was the deal).

Not really, we both knew that I would be leaving in 2 months time.

So with the 1 month free time that comes with the game and he pays $50 for another month, it works out to be roughly the same as the game cost ($120) (So I paid $20 more).

I'm pretty sure it's $15 for one month.

Hmmm, it's not USD you are talking about, or did the game drop in price significantly since then? Right now it's US$50 for the game and US$15 per month, IIRC...

going simply by the exchange rate, it should be something like $75 to buy and $20 for one month in NZ dollars.
