    • Hey, it really is Empire!

I had 'almost' forgotten about Empire but you're right SC. In a way it was the "Conquer the world" predecessor of Civ.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

        • I went with an Empire2 link as it has some screen shots(looks very civish!). But it also has links to the origonal game

Empire II: The Art of War is a further update of the classic computer wargame. (See Empire Deluxe.) This version includes more terrains and more sighting and movement rules. A significant change is that land units can take damage in a skirmish instead...

I was along way from getting this one
'The very basis of the liberal idea – the belief of individual freedom is what causes the chaos' - William Kristol, son of the founder of neo-conservitivism, talking about neo-con ideology and its agenda for you.info here. prove me wrong.

I'm still busy learning from such a great master of wit as you Dr.Spike.

But for the meantime I have to find a game first.

                • Alright finally got a nice one, mid 80's. First for the C64 and would later appear for ST and the Amiga as well.

I'll make it easy and explain the goal
In this game it is to take control
Because to become the ultimate fighting hero
You will have to start from zero.
