Well this is where I heard about it, so I figure someone here will know the answer. Captured planets seem nearly useless. They can barely produce anything beyond their own supply needs, even after their efficiency goes up. Sometimes a pre-warp/warp level planet will be able to produce a meager one fighter a turn. I think the problem is that they have very low population, which grows at a very slow rate. How can I make captured planets useful?

Basically you just have to wait until they get around warp level to be useful. On average, it takes something like 5 turns to go up a tech level. So if you capture something pre warp or below, you mostly just ignore it until it becomes useful.Comment
