It's the largest I can think of... although with all the alliances and whatnot in this game, I figure that that hit won't stay the record-holder for long...

Curious - what's the longest battle in the history of GO? As in, number of waves? Obviously this round should ultimately set this, as eventually someone has to have a one-on-one battle with large evenly matched forces, and 3hp/bp is going to have longer battles - but have we ever had a 6 wave battle or longer?

The huge fleet approached Coruscant, which appeared to be devoid of military traffic. Sure enough, not a single defender had been left, and the seven bases were taken without a shot.

We could have different categories depending on the number of allied players. Largest strike by a two person alliance, three person alliance, etc...

Hmm... speaking of records, what's the greatest number of bases taken without shots fired within a single turn? Because it seems to be happening a lot this turn...

I recall one a few games back that lasted 9 or 12 waves. It was AWESOME. I forget the details, though.

Jonny- Yep, it's the biggest hit so far, and also the first time we've gone into four-figure territory. Maneuver really ups the ante.

Snoopy- The lognest battle so far was Lord Nuclear's attack on Sandman in GO 7, 8th round. The fleets were evenly matched and one was backed off, and it took to Round 14 for Sandman to just barely repel Lord Nuclear.

hehe yes, it is indeed ... tho i have to say i don't regret leaving my ships behind, i think most of the time the best strategy in this age of allied attacks is definitely to leave nothing behind except a frigate guard ...
