Hmm, that makes sense, it's just that he didn't specify that you could do AmmmA if you have cleared the pit after the latter instance of A. So that AmmmA is only possible when leaving, not entering.

It's just that you can't really be sure which is the A that is using the special power and which isn't, since you can put the acceleration at the beginning or the end. It could be the A taking place in the pits or it couldn't.

Good catch. I removed the second A and dropped his speed to 6. I'm glad you guys check this stuff, since it's so easy to make and error.

OK, I think I am now confused. Why is my second A being disallowed??? It was outside of the pits, and would be consided a wildcard if it was not being used as a special power. The BMMMMMB example makes sense to me, since the second happens in the pits. In my case, the special power is happening outside of the pits, so in my mind it is not using the special power. AAMMMM in the pit area makes sense to me as being disallowed.

Like I said, basically it's not necessarily possible to disambiguate between the A that takes place in the pits and the A that doesn't. However, IMO AmmmA when the latter A takes place outside the pits should be acceptable (it'd benefit me as well in this case), but it's the GM's call. *shrug*

I think it is easy to determine what the special power is.

1. Turbo: You can issue a second accelerate OR brake command during your turn without using a WC.

So I think the special power would be the second A or B that is issued in any given turn, and in this case, would be the one outside the pits.

Don't worry Ramsey, I tried to do the same thing, but Rah disallowed it. It ended up costing me a turn cuz I can't accelerate out of the pits and hope to make the double left into the corner.

It is possible to get through the pits nicely, but you are really foing to have to set it up perfectly.

I have to say it makes sense to me. The special power and/or WC is essentially the combination between the two accelerations, so you can't distinguish between them. And otherwise the rule would take far less of an effect, with most people only having 1 turn affected by it.

It forces you to set up for the pit properly, giving you enough speed to exit the pit in such a way that you can double-accelerate at the end...

Tuber's A+1 removed as it would violate the pit rule we have been discussing for a week

Jonny increases his lead but can he hold on for almost 2 laps more with only a 10 max speed.
Spaced continues to race conservatively, so he must have a plan.
GJ comes flying out of the pit and takes advantage of the turbo power.

The rest have passed the recharge point and can now flex their muscles.

And yes, I've really liked how the pitstop has added to the game, and will have to fiddle around with shorter tracks so more laps don't take forever. But it's tough to do that and still get the straightaways long enough for speed to matter.
