So is the idea now to just send you a PM containing things like:

    1. Increase healthcare
    2. Build more tanks
    3. Cut corporate taxes
    4. Declare war on China
    etc?

Can we expect the 3 day updates to normally take 9 months (real time )!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      /me

Edit: By the way, there is an error on the map, indicating that Adagio is the leader of both Egypt and Argentina, one of which should be Tuberski.

Nope, I won't let you down (without warning at least). I'll start the next turn after 65 hours.

So is the idea now to just send you a PM containing things like:

It might be not wise to start meddling with the budget in the middle of the economic year. In Bizarroworld, every nation in the world sets it's national budget in week 52 of every year. It's now week 43 of 2005. One turn = one Bizarroworld week.

You can start building tanks whenever you want, but your goverment funds it by an emergency loan. Taxes can also be cut or raised, but decreased revenue nets you another emergency loan. Emergency loans have two times higher interest rates than ordinary loans until the end of the budget year. Then again, all countries are already in debt.

Starting wars is okay any time of the year, though. I'll send you your army infos via PM in case you were serious about that whole China thing.

Edit: By the way, there is an error on the map, indicating that Adagio is the leader of both Egypt and Argentina, one of which should be Tuberski.
You mean Argentina is part of Africa now?

It's a political map. Different countries on the same continent have different colours. Some countries on the other sides of the world may currently have the same colours since I want to keep the image file sizes small.

        EDIT: "colours", not "countries".

          Okay, my mistake

You do have Adagio listed twice however (both as part of Africa and as part of the Middle East).

Yea, since Egypt is both part of Africa and part of the Middle East. At least in Bizarroworld, that is. Russia is also listed twice. Note that the most powerful nations of the region are always listed first.

Well, for example, you could invade Poland just for ****s and giggles (to quote Oerdin) -- you'd have to request your army (from me) stats for that I guess, since it takes some transports and you don't really know what kind of state your army is in (or do you?). Ill update to turn 2 today.

                      Turn 2

Turn 2 starts now, and takes about 80 hours since I'm not here during the weekend. That means I can't really upkeep the whole phase thing for this turn, either. Just send your orders whenever you want, they're accepted.

                      Bizarroworld news from week 43:
                      Main news:

World's wisest man held a surprise speech on Tuesday. In it, he stressed the importance of pan-American co-operation in the war against terror: "We must stand for our security, and the well-being of our children. It is imperatant that the nations of Mexico and Canada shall co-operate jointly in the defence of their borders, for we have a vital trade agreement which loosens our borders bordering each other. [...] Important for us is that the nations of America can go free, can go together. The corrupted police, the corrupted border guards of Mexico and Caneida have not done their vital duties in securing our borders. They must let our border guards to do the job of securing our borders for them". The president's chief of staff then released an extension suggestion on NAFTA, one in which US national guard would take control of vital trade points of all the three countries. United States erected 5% tariffs on both of it's neighbours, which would not be destroyed before they would let national guard in, said World's wisest man. "The important thing is to understand -- we pay for our bills, and so should they. We secure our borders, and so should they". President refused to mention the current situation in Iraq in his speech.

On Saturday, there was been a military coup in Suriname. The former president of the country, R. R. Venetiaan, fleed the country, promising to return quickly: "I shall only be attending the wedding of my long-lost seventh twin cousin. I shall be back soon". When asked how soon, he refused to name the date: "Oh, who knows...After a few days, after a few weeks... perhaps even after a few decades. Our family has very elaborate wedding ceremonies, you know. They could take a while". The leader of the coup, M.A. Lahdatonovajar, declared the date as the "Greatest day in the history of Suriname", proclaiming it to be a national holiday. It's name haven't been announced yet, but the locals are referring it as the "jack dog" -day, a name which comes from the birthday of a dog who's the pet of Paramaribo's best hot-dog maker.

                      Briefs:
                      - The president of Brazil demanded an immediate and total stop of American cotton tariffs, calling them an "outrageous violation of WTO rules".
                      - The prime minister of Japan called for a change in Japanese constitution, demanding it to allow deployement of Japanese troops abroad. The proposal was met with indifference in the upper house.
                      - There have been major riots in Wewak, Madang and other cities on the northern coast of Papua New Guinea. Rioters have demanded the freedom of an enprisoned radical muslim cleric, Ekmteng Manoa, suspected from upkeeping a drug and pirate ring on North Pacific Ocean.
                      - In Libya, AFP has reported few invididual cases of the bubonic plague. We cannot confirm these reports at this time.
