    @ thread

leave it to you guys to turn an anticipation thread into an ATI vs nVidia thread.

    nVidia
    openGL

btw, this game looks all right, AoE has been lame compared to other RTS's... I'll have to see about this one, however.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Why have they decided to make the First Nations non-playable?

      That's just silly.

This is the right thing to do, you play FAR too much at the top end for very little return, every processor range has a 'sweet spot', its usually about 3/4 of the way up the range.

Another trick is that you can usually o/c a mid range processor to run has fast as the top of the range - 'cos usually they're the same model under a diffferent name.

Because they're going the path of having all nations rather similar, with some bonus differences and some unique units. Like AoE2. Having natives as playable wouldn't fit in with that

or u could look at it as they cant come up w/ a good story (or long enough story) and enough props to make the real Americans playable at all

i'm thinking that indigenous people will be throw in just for something else to do/get in ur way, a feature, kinda like how they put gods in AoM, which of course, is the real AoE3

i think i didnt miss quote this from an IGN interview (off the top of my head): you are gonna have to settle unconquered land in the name of your home nation/investors

BTW when i said hate i meant it as in hate on, which some people seemed to be doing, wutevr

As I said, they exist there as tribes you can ally with to get a particular bonus.

i wonder if you can have say 4 allies like this or perhaps unlimited?

There is a limited number of these tribes in each game, obviously the exact one is unclear at this point. But if you ally with all, it's a possibility to win the game.

Solver I am seeing a possible "twist"

It would be cool if say you allied with maybe 4 of these and then they all revolted at once because too many traits straining them

but maybe I have too much imagination?

                          Story? It's a historical RTS.

I highly doubt that 3.0 GHz is the fastest possible.
