I used to be such avid final fantasy fan but after playing several, they all pretty much have the same plot lines.

Yes, get an X-Box. Then you can get GTA: San Andreas a few months later, with all the bugs ironed out and WAAAAY better graphics.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Actually, now have 1&2, 4-7 and 9-10 & 10-2.
I concur that FF6 is probably the best, but the others (besides 11) do have their place. I still just need to track down a copy of VIII.
Knights of the Old Republic... I'm just finding too many bugs in. Stopped playing it, lost interest because of it. Each of the Final Fantasy ones are polished to a nice shine.
Though I'm still not sure why I got an X-Box... mostly shooters and racers as far as I can see, though picked up the Sonic Mega Collection thing for xmas. Never had a Genesis, and for only $20, why not?
My GC and GBA clock the most use, however, strangely. I don't know, maybe it's because so many EA games do seem to end up on the X-box as sports games/racers?I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...
Civ and WoW are my crack... just one... more... turn...

All other fighters are too restricting... 2 people on the field at once (A serious to gameplay, especially multiplay). SSB:M lets you move around freely, PLUS, it doesn't have any of those silly moves that require you to do something like...
ABYXABYXRLLRRLLRLLRRAYXBBXXYABX while rotating the control stick and holding in R2. I know it doesn't have A,B,X,Y buttons, it is just easier than typing the names of shapes
