    • Why does everyone have to always tie it and make us wait? This happens in every game...

          • I didn't kill you Dauphin. Blame those other guys, if they had voted for rah, you'd be spared.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Actually it is not tied, it is 5-4, with only one vote to come, at best when Ljube votes it will be tied. In my opinion the 24 hour voting period is long past, and the next round should begin

If we wait for Ljube, and he votes for Rah, it will only result in another delay for the tiebreaker. If he votes for Dauphin nothing will have changed from continuing right now as it stands.

                • I'll update shortly. For reasons Sparrowhawk stated, and other reasons I will elaborate on further later.

                    • Chapter VII

"Clearly, the Royal Historian must be after the throne!" shouted Dauphin in a frenzy of excitement and accusation. "He possesses information that has allowed him to form a plot with some nobles back in Bohemia, is my bet, to eliminate the successon of the throne so that the nobles can elect him king!"

Rah chuckled. "I have never heard of a more ridiculous accusation. Coming from the murderer you are!"

"God forgive! You levelling the blame on me is most outrageous", Dauphin protested.

"Truly, sir Rah, this is a wild accusation, only deepening your guilt", Archbishop Kenobi chimed in.

"Is it? Is it?" Rah said. "All the while you have been going to and fro accusing each other willy nilly, Dauphin has treated all of us here like fools. Thinking someone won't get a whiff of his wrongdoings. A man of god, such nonsense", Rah rambled on.

"Do you have any sort of proof of this?" Count Jamski inquired, "for accusing a man of God from such misdeeds is a grave and weighty accusation indeed."

"Consider this. DrSpike told of "hysteric strength" which allowed a man to gain insurmountable strength at a time of severe emotional upheaval. We, well, you have ignored this and concentrated on normal, physical strength, killing our innocent servants like cattle."

"Go on", Marshal Spaced asked, having received a few votes himself in the past few days, eager to find the true culprit to the killings.

"But we have failed to search for an emotional upheaval that far surpasses human mind... religious upheaval. For indeed, our killer has been granted superhuman strength by his faith. Is it not your opinion, Bishop, that you hold our entourage to be a hive of scum and villainy?"

"Most certainly yes, as it sponsors murderers, thieves and blasphemers such as you and that DrSpike", Dauphin spat.

"Which brings me to my second point. After we discovered that DrSpike had been using... unorthodox methods to examine the victims, the next morning, he was dead. Killed with extra fury, it seems to have been. After all, DrSpike was particularly godless of us, was he not."

                      "But - "

"And the board, yes, the board. You reused it and left it behind only to try to throw us off this special treatment DrSpike received, yes?"

                      "I - "

"And then the meals. You forcibly fed poor Duke o' York bread and wine, as his final, brutal communion, before taking his life, did you not?"

                      "To me -"

"I am finished. Make any statement you wish; I will openly state that Dauphin, indeed, is the killer, not my humble self."

The vote was tight and exciting, and finally the Bishop Dauphin was voted to be executed.

Distraught by this, Dauphin lost all self control and ran to Guard Skanky, grabbed his sword, and threw himself at it. He perished almost immediately, although Archbishop Kenobi had time to pray with him, and Dauphin confessed to his horrible sins, of multiple brutal murder.

The entourage went to bed that night far more relieved than before; and their relief was not in vain, for the following morning, they were still ten.

Kassiopeia examined the case, gave his consent, and so the entourage returned to Bohemia, where after careful examination of the literature and history of Bohemia, rah discovered an old stipulation that allowed the country to have female sovereigns should the bloodline otherwise befall tragedy. And thus Snowflake was crowned Queen of Bohemia, and the survivors of the entourage lived happily ever after.

                      THE END.

The villagers win, congratulations. Well played. The 2x4=8 thing wasn't supposed to be a clue but a red herring, but looks like it wasn't. What serendipity.

Going to open the sign-up thread soon. I will not under any circumstances GM number 28, but I may have a new go at 29 or 30 - I have a rather nifty idea for that as well, not for a milieu, but for the very method of storytelling.

                        • Congrats all, and I would like to point out that I voted for Dauphin in an earlier round, and only after I was chastised for it by my "ally" did I switch to Ljube.
(Though my vote for Dauphin was at the time a long shot)

to Kassiopeia, well written and exciting to follow
