Some of the orders I received are illegal. Some of them show the persons who sent them haven't read the rules carefully.

A full order of battle consists of two of each types of weapons and three tactical options. If you wish to make an allied attack, better make sure you agreed on a full order of battle between all allies. This includes all tactical options. If you fail to agree on one of the options, only a subset of the allies' orders of battle that is the same will be considered as the allied order of battle. If you claim you are part of an alliance, but send a different order of battle, you won't be considered part of that alliance.

Those who recognise themselves in these words have 2 more hours to fix their orders.

Turn 3 - An unlikely alliance

A very strange and unlikely alliance is formed this turn. It includes the worst criminals in the quadrant (the so called Nazis of the delta), the Trabe, one of the Kazon (!) factions, the powerful Kazon Relora sect led by First Maje Haron Sparrowhawk and the Pralor automated units led by their designated command unit SC, that have recently exterminated their creators. The target is the Federation outpost.

The allies have different goals and different agendas. The Trabe are interested in settling on the Arrays currently controlled by the Federation. The Kazon Relora hope to take some of the Federation advanced technology to help them rise above other Kazon sects and possibly take control of the quadrant eventually. The Pralor AUs are only interested in one member of Kassiopeia’s crew: B’Elanna Torres, Kassiopeia’s chief of engineering. Having exterminated their creators (for whom they still use the expression builders), the Pralor AUs have since failed in their every attempt at constructing new units and their numbers have been on a steady decline since. They have heard of the nanoprobe weapons B’Elanna Torres has devised and they hope she could prove up to the task and construct a working prototype for them.

The allies met near the Trabe controlled Array and proceeded onward, feeling uneasy about each other. No wonder they didn’t agree on an allied order of battle. It could have affected the outcome of the battle, if the battle had actually happened. But it didn’t. Captain Kassiopeia Janeway was aware all too well she would be the prime target this turn too. So instead of using the replicators at her disposal to produce more ships, she opted for a different solution. The solution was proposed by B’Elanna Torres. It was a self replicating mine-field. Mines were fitted with pocket replicators and laid on the border of Federation controlled space. Such a mine field would be impossible to pass, as each exploded mine would replicate two new ones.

The Pralor fleet felt the effectiveness of the mine-field when 2 of their carrier battleships exploded hitting two mines. The Pralors wanted to push forward and fight to the death no matter what, but their allies convinced them to abort and told them that Kassiopeia could not hide behind her mine-field forever.

Once again, against all odds, Captain Kassiopeia Janeway is victorious. But there was no time to celebrate the victory as another attacking fleet appeared on the screen. The species 8472 didn’t accept defeat from the last round and gathered their entire fleet for a decisive attack on Kassiopeia. Their ships used some sort of inverse tachyon beam to detonate the entire mine-field, thus neutralising it. It appeared Captain Janeway was doomed.

But she had another surprise in store for them. As the ships of the species 8472 approached, she activated a special nanoprobe burst which immediately destroyed 2 enemy laser battleships. The species 8472 calculated the likely outcome of the battle against an Array with such powerful nanoprobe burst weapon and decided to abort the mission immediately.

        *******

The activities of the Kazon Ogla sect have not remained unnoticed in the quadrant. Their unprovoked attacks each turn have convinced First Maje Minnis Theben of the Kazon Pommar sect the time was right to eliminate the Ogla, claim their planets and emerge as the most powerful Kazon sect. He sent his fleet ready to fight against Rizik III Jamski, but he was not there. The Kazon on Jamski’s planets swore allegiance to their new master Theben.

        *******

Rizik III Jamski was in for another gamble. But this was one gamble too much. His entire fleet attacked DrSpike, but ran into a shield. His surviving 3 laser battleships remain baseless.

        *******

The erratic behaviour of the succession of Kazon Ogla majes caught the eye of another power in the delta quadrant. Those were the Vidiians, a race of scientists with extraordinarily advanced medical technology, but crippled by a terrible degenerative disease called the Phage from which more than 80% of their population suffers. The condition is incurable and leads to the decomposition and failure of vital organs and if not treated death eventually. To counter the main symptoms of the illness, the Vidiians have perfected their organ transplantation techniques which allow them to adapt any organ of any species to meet their needs. To survive, the Vidiians must harvest organs.

But they were all too confident in their success this time. Expecting no Kazon ships would be orbiting Jamsi’s planets, they sent only one laser frigate on this harvesting mission. They were welcomed by the full power of 4 laser and 4 torpedo Kazon Pommar battleships.

Battle No.1: Skanky Burns attacks Theben at Jamksi’s
Skanky Burns: 1LF, OoB: LLT-TFF, close in, normal
Theben: 4LB, 4TB, OoB: LTT-LFF, close in, spread out

Skanky’s sole laser frigate is destroyed by Theben’s barrage.

Could you post a one-line summary below each "chapter" of the turn report so that we can quickly decipher who attacked who and where. This will be much appreciated.

Or, give the "Battle" headings for no-contest or unfought battles as well as the conventionals.

                            Summary of the last turn

Spaced Cowboy, Sparrowhawk and GeoModder made an allied attack on Kassiopeia. Kassiopeia raised shields. Spaced Cowboy sent his orders first, so he suffered the loss of 2 carrier battleships.

Smiley attacked Kassiopeia. Since Kassi hid behind his shield, Smiley too suffered the loss of two battleships, but this time laser battleships.

Theben attacked Jamski with 4 laser battleships and 4 torpedo battleships and captured 3 undefended bases.

Jamski attacked DrSpike but ran into a shield and lost 2 laser battleships. Because his home bases were occupied his fleet of 3 laser battleships remains baseless.

Skanky Burns tried the old one laser frigate attacks trick, but found Theben at Jamski's and lost the frigate.
