Even in WW2 shooters, it's mostly America. D-day, France, the Pacific, Italy. With only a smattering of other stuff. This is understandable, but I'd like to see a broader coverage. Various resistance groups, Chinese partisans, Burma, Indonesia, more Russian stuff, Greece, North Africa, etc.

WW1 was largely trench warfare. Not a fun concept for a FPS game.

        The Russian-German Border?
Of course you would need Cav. there.
And Animal Rights will prohibit you Shooting at the Horses thus destroying the Game Concept.

I think Iron Storm was the name of the Game Gen. Ludd mentioned?

Lawrence of Arabia - the game. An FPS set mostly in the desert, with no obviously contrived boundaries. With horseback and armoured car sections.

How about Battle of the Somme - the game? Lasts all of five minutes, as you and your childhood pals go over the top and are mercilessly mown down by machine gun fire, wiping out the entire fertile male population of your northern British home town.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

Because one was made, it sold well, so other gaming companies thought, "We'd better make one too." The maker of the original thought, "We'd better make a sequel or at least an expansion pack to compete with the new games that people are competing against us with." Never-ending until fans say, "I'm bored with these, I wanna shoot aliens."

I think that it would be cool, if we could get a " the anarachists finally got off their asses and started this revolution that they have been *****ing about forever" fps. It would be fun playing either side.

I remember when you said "WWII shooter" everyone thought of games like 1942.
