It appears that dear Cardinal Savonarola and I are the resident progressives. We've already done this, so voting Sparrowhawk is just so intolerably passé. I wonder if I've just initiated a cross-round docpile, not too common a sight.

Cardinal Kenobi: Err... because I voted to kill a de Medici, I'm their puppet? Darn, I'm unusually cunning. But I'm voting for Cardinal Sparrowhawk de Medici again this round. If he's innocent, he'll just go to heaven anyway. All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

Whereas all of you will go in the opposite direction (except perhaps those of you who voted for others then the Medici)
Sigh, even my brethern seek my downfall, I fear for the future of our great institution when one such as I is cast down with the infidels.

Chapter 3 - Last Supper with Mona Lisa
Cesare Borgia, Vicar to the Pope, met with Alessandro Farnese and Girolamo Savonarola.
“This was obviously the work of the Medici. With my father dead, I am an easy pray to the Medicis.”
“All is not lost. Maybe a Medici or that accursed Della Rovere won’t be elected”, Farnese replied.
“The Medici rule in Florence is shaky. If we can accuse one of them of being behind the Pope’s death, I can go there and start an uprising and possibly overthrow Piero de Medici and take over in Florence”, Savonarola added.
“Yes, an excellent plan”, said Cesare. “I’ll stall the elections as long as I can. We’ll indict and convict a Medici. Then you’ll incite Florence into rebellion. If you succeed, the Medicis are history.”
****
The Sacred College of Cardinals convened once more. The topic was the Pope’s death. Most of the cardinals suspected the Medicis were behind this. They were not ready to file a formal accusation though, until Giovanni de Medici accused his own kid brother of the crime. The cardinals were then convinced and voted overwhelmingly in favour of an official charge of murder.
Sparrowhawk was charged with the murder of Pope Alexander VI and in spite of his vigorous denial, he was found guilty, sentenced to death and executed.

That evening Leonardo da Vinci stayed working in the cathedral longer than usual. His young and handsome “apprentice” was worried because his master didn’t come home to have a supper with him, so he went to see how things were going. The scene he witnessed in the cathedral sent a chill down his spine. Theben was dead, naked, lying in the hands of a statue of the Virgin Mary he was working on. Someone has stabbed him in the vicinity of the heart and then carefully placed in the statue’s lap. The place was covered in blood.
When Niccolò Machiavelli came, the boy was still shaking.
“Hmmm. The method is consistent with the first murder. Once again the killer knew the victim because there is no sign of struggle”, mumbled Niccolò Machiavelli. Then he spoke to Leonardo’s apprentice.
“Boy! You are the apprentice of the great Leonardo da Vinci. Do you know if he had any enemies?”
“Sir? Well yes”, the boy paused. “I mean no Sir. Who would do such a thing? Who? He was such a wonderful man. Great artist. He taught me so much about art and other things. He was like father to me.”
The boy started to sob.
“It appears he taught you much more about other things”, Machiavelli thought, but said nothing.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Honestly though, if ADG is the mafia yet again there's most certainly something about the numbers he always gets... might just have to get a lottery ticket based on some of those numbers with as 'lucky' as he seems to be at getting to be mafia.I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...
Civ and WoW are my crack... just one... more... turn...

Tehben's death after he voted for Adagio is quite suspicious.
Then again, it could just be the standard mafia frame job.
Then again again, frame would seem to implicate one of our artists.~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~
