Does anyone know what moon sugar is? (I think that's the name. when I talk to people and try to barter, they won't barter when I have that in my inventory). I have it on the ground now. I have no idea what it does.

And does anyone know where I can find a levitate spell? I tried mages guild balmora. pretty much where I do all my shopping. Is there a better place to find stuff?

Speaking of. I've heard of something called the creeper to buy and sell stuff? Where is this guy?

I've finished that quest for that bow. It sure was a pain getting back. I contracted all sorts of diseases. And I couldn't take a silt strider because people didn't like me when I was diseased. And then I got hit with something that sapped my strength. I was all out of cure blight disease potions. I had to burn a divine interevention scroll . Real pain in the ass these diseases are. And then I had to drop all my loot so I can go inside the temple. and then bribe the guy at the temple just so he's sell me some cure blight disease potions. and then I had to buy restore agility potions since my agility was down.

Moon sugar is an addictive (illegal) substance commonly used in the production of skooma. You won't be arrested for it but you won't be able to interact with many merchants while you're carrying it either.
Combine it with shalk resin (from the black beetle things) to make speed potions.

Regarding spells try some of the other guild bases via the transport system (IIRC the Ald Ruhn guild is pretty useful). Failing that, temples have many useful spells too.

Creeper is a scamp (daedra) that was put in the game as a sort of easter egg. He buys almost anything and pays full price to the limit of his funds.
You can find him on the second floor of Ghorak manor in Caldera. It's filled with orcs and located next to an armourer on the eastern side.

Restore attribute potions are usually a bit of a waste. The Imperial cult shrine in Pelagiad has all restore attribute spells IIRC.

Sell the moon sugar and the skooma to the ***** merchants. They love them. And they'll accept to trade.

EDIT: ok, ok, seems some words are forbidden here. I meant the feline merchant

how would you define a feline merchant? a khajiit, or just kind of a wuss?

              hmm, interesting.

soon, it will be time for more morrowind. I don't know why I didn't really like this game before. It's a fun game. The dialogue/conversations and combat may not be as fun as other games. But I'm having fun just exploring this world. The quests aren't too bad- they are varied and intersting for the most part.

I'm thinking about getting the expansions now. Maybe I can find them packaged together. What all do the expansions add? I heard in one you can have a henchman. Although I hope they improve the pathfinding AI. It's kind of annoying when people follow me to a location for a quest. Sometimes they get in my way during combat. I accidently killed a couple - somehow I was clicking on the wrong target.

You can buy the Game of the Year Edition for 30 dollars at Best Buy, Diss. It includes the original Morrowind, as well as the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansion packs. I believe Bloodmoon adds the Werewolf, and both exp. packs have new areas/land to explore, new main quests, mini quests, improvements, etc.

You can become a werewolf or a vampire. New quests and areas come with both expansions, as do more useful armour/weapons. Merchants have much more stuff to sell to you and they have more money too.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

You can become a vampire in the vanilla Morrowind.

well I'm up to the part where I get Corpus disease. I finally find some gooo items that sell for a lot. Though that bad ass shield I'm using- not selling. It is heavy armour, and that is what I specialize in.

I still haven't had much luck finding levitate or water walking. I did find some sort of levitate in Ald ruhn, but it requires more mana than I have.

Is there any way to raise magicka other than raising intelligence? Raising most magical skills raise willpower or personality. I think there's only one that will give a bonus to raising intelligence.

And anyone know of any trainers to train security without having to be a member of the thieves guild? The one guy in Balmora would not do it since I was not a memeber of the thieves guild. So many cool doors and chests I cannot explore and loot. I can get low level stuff- say 30 and below, but that's about it.

You are looking for levitate spells, or levitate potions?

As far as raising your security skill goes....

What kind of character have you created? I have not been keeping up with this thread. if you have been leaning towards magic at all, I would just buy Unlock scrolls and create your own spells.

If you already have a levitate spell that requires too much magicka then see one of the spell making people.
ie Make up a spell that gives you a reasonable duration levitate but at an effect value of 1. You should be able to cast this. Higher effect values only make you move faster so you can get around the low effect value with the boots of speed.
Also note that the blinding effect is only applicable at the time you put the boots on - ie: if you cast a resist magicka spell, or use a potion or item with a similar effect, then put the boots on while under the resist effect, you'll still be able to see when the effect wears off as long as you leave the boots on.

IIRC both the enchant and alchemy skills are intelligence based. Further on down the road you can also enchant items with a constant-effect fortify intelligence to give you a larger magicka pool.

An alternative to levitate for getting to the Urshilaku Camp is to waterwalk around the coast from Khuul. You can make the potions from kwama scuttles and violet coprinus.

actually I found a decent route over the mountains just east of Mar Gan. It doesn't take too long.

Still playing. I want to hurry and finish this game though and play as a thief. I usually don't like thief characters. But I am interested in playing one in this game.

I told myself I wouldn't do it, but I did it. I went to trainers and really maxed out my stats. I now have 100 strength, 100 speed, 100 agility, and 100 endurance. I also have 99 willpower now and my intelligence is also almost maxed out. My personality is only about 60 though, and my luck is still 40. I just couldn't resist maxing those stats out.

But even as tough as I think I am, I still face tough battles. Anyone ever fight that Umbra (I think that is the correct name) just outside of Suran (NE over the mountain)? He has a bad ass sword. But I couldn't get him without taking advantage of the crappy AI. Although this was before I maxed out my stats. But I was still pretty tough. My Amour Class is over 100 now, and I have nearly maxed out blocking, yet I still get hit so much . This guy hit so hard, I had little chance. Even when I summoned a skeletong guy. I hope thing don't get any tougher than that. I will never survive.

Umbra was easy, but I was able to attack from a distance.
