        OK, explaining the characters:

Ian Malcom - most Crichton books have some sort of brilliant mathematician who makes these predictions that foreshadow the entire book. Ian Malcom is he in Jurassic Park. Malcom is a professor at UT in Austin, and specializes in the field of chaos theory. He was on the original commission that determined the likelihood of success of the park (which is secret) and predicted that the thing simply would not work.

Dr. Grant - the Crichton books usually have, as their protagonist, a specialist in the field that best characterizes the book - in this case, paleontology. Dr. Grant is a paleontologist brought in to the park by Hammond to certify that the whole thing is working (no huge problems) to the corporations that are backing the park.

Dr. Satler - she is also a paleontologist who works with Dr. Grant, and was called in for the same reason.

Hammond - he is a rich dinosaur-loving eccentric who interestingly is the arch-evil guy in the book. It is his blindness to the weaknesses of the park that primarily cause lots of people to die. He was the one who thought of the idea, who was the visionary behind the park.

Ed Regis - Regis is a PR guy for the park, basically. I'm too lazy to look him up again in the book right now, so if I'm wrong and someone notices, just point it out.

Arnold - the main administrator of the park.

Muldoon - he's the guy Hammond got to do security for the park. Big game African hunter guy.

Nedry - he's the guy Hammond got to design all the computer systems - the park is extremely automated. He's come back for now to fix all the bugs they've found. In the books, he was also paid off by a lawyer for another corporation to steal some dinosaur embryos.

how the hell could I forget Dr. Wu? gjramsey is now Wu - he's the head biologist who "designed" all the dinosaurs (well, with the help of underlings).

Lex - Hammonds granddaughter, a sports lover.

Timmy - Lex's younger brother, a computer and dinosaur geek.

Gennaro - a lawyer for a major corporate backer of Hammond, sent to decide whether or not the corporation should bail out on him (they have a significant stake in the venture, and don't want to lose it all).

Ross - the guy who sent Gennaro. He basically was not a character in the book, but I added him here because I felt like it. He's not actually on the island, but could very well still be the mafia.

Dr. Harding - the head park veterinarian (for the dinosaurs).

Guiterrez - a doctor who found a raptor (actually, in the book, a dead conchy) in Costa Rica after a baby died when the conchy bit it.

Dr. Stone - the doctor at some New York institute that identified the conchy as a dinosaur from X-rays.

Kuci: Yeah, I know. I much preferred the book. That said, if I'm gonna be Lex, I'm going to be the movie's Lex. Maybe paired with the book's Timmy. We'd be less annoying that way.

I'll also withhold a certain snide comment I'm tempted to make until after the game is over, to increase my chances of survival. :sneaky:
                  All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

The movie Lex and Timmy were WAY more annoying.
