Erm... if I had MY machine hooked up, I'd give you a list for both in seconds....

One thing I DO know is a diamond = a magic longsword gives you an astral longsword.

IMPORTANT! Save components for the SECOND smith as he will make BETTER versions of the magic weapons (example Desert Wind +2) - some components only appear once, so don't waste them.

Whenever I respawn on Folderol I am still dead. If I exit and come back I am still dead. Nothing I can do stops me being dead. What is happening?

Ok I risked a second respawn and it's ok. Double XP hit though.

I know what all of the weapons are, but I want to know what they do!
I know that magic longsword + diamond = astral longsword, but what does an astral longsword do that the magic longsword doesn't? I need to know the special powers of these weapons, not just how to make them, because I've already got the smith's recipe book in my bag of holding. Can I use DM powers in the OC? For example, if I saved the game in the smith's forge and then DM'd myself a magic scythe and whatever else you need, then can I just make all of the magic items simply to find out what they do?

Oh yes. If you respawn and take the XP hit, then will it automatically reverse the last level-up you did, or will it just mean that you have to get even more XP to get to the next level?

You can't lose levels by respawning.

I think you just drop down to the minimum XP required for your level. you can't go below that. So no, you don't lose levels. And you shouldn't require more xp than normal to go from one level to the next.

Yep, that will work, or simply load up that script in the editor and see what it items it will give, and then look up those items... erm, I'd do it for you if I had my machine set up.

Most weapons are adding +d6 of some kind of elemental damage, or sleep/stun effects. The +2 Astral Longsword adds +d8 Sonic damage, IIRC, and the Fey Duster has DC14 Sleep onHit...

Eh but Jamski, read the post. If you fixed the loophole great, it will make the game much more intense. However if you have inadvertently made it so people have to respawn twice to respawn (taking 2 xp hits) then that's not good. Any idea why it happened? It must be linked to the loophole fixing.

Oh, whoops, I skimskied it... problem should be fixed so the Gypsy Witch correctly applies Ressurection and Greater Restoration when you respawn...

It is indeed part of the loophole fixing that YOU wanted
