Orders in from all except you-know-who. As an aside, the brute next to the Doctor begins to look antsy, and starts fidgeting with his mace.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
Oh dear. It would appear that DrSpike is running near 47+ hours. I hope he gets those orders in soon.

You can if you wish, or just stick with what you have. Doc was apparently curious as to see how I'd handle late posters.

The Ram strikes swift and hard at Spacius once more, but he has taken an extreme defensive position- curling into a small ball behind his shield. “Oh, God, the PAIN!!!” wails Spacius. “Pleeze don’t hurt me! I can’t stand it!! MOMMYYYY!!!!11!” Spacius’s pitiful behavior has an immediate and obvious affect on the Ram, who just can’t summon up the will to strike him again, as his follow up blows are inaccurate and have no strength behind them. The crowd begins to mumur uneasily.
“A dark day in the age of Gladiators…”, mutters Theben.
Neither contestant takes any damage. Send for Round 4.

Bob wanders out into the middle of the arena and stares across the way at the Doctor, who is busy scratching some formulas in the sand with a stick (Bob’s former crossbow bolt, actually) and writing the results on the back of his shield with chalk. “Will you hurry it up!?” shouts Bob, the frustration of waiting clearly building on his face.
“Just one more moment, old chap,” returns the Doc. “You know my 1st love is academics. I think I’ve finally gotten a working formula regarding this ‘gravity’ notion. I just need to finish transcribing the info…”
Theben watches as the last of the sand runs out of the hourglass. “Time’s up!” he signals toward the brute, who smiles evilly and raises his mace. The Doctor, sensing danger, lifts his shield over himself just as the blow falls on him. The mace hits squarely on the shield, but enough energy is transferred through to cause the Doctor some pain, and knock him on the ground.
“Just so you know, dear Doctor, he could’ve hit you a lot harder. If there’s a next time- for anyone- it WILL be a lot harder.”
When he stands up, he notices that he fell… right on top of his writing, which is now completely illegible. He looks inside his shield and notices that some sand had gotten up inside and messed up some of the formula- was that a 3 or a 5? Damnit!
Bob takes no damage this round, and the Doctor takes 1 hp, to fall to 81.
Send (hint, hint) for round 4.

I am away this weekend, so wont send next orders until Sunday evening GMT, which is slightly outside the 48 hour period. We have always had flexibility at weekends though, so I'm presuming this is no problem.
