the interface dialogue interface annoyed me as well.

and you can repeatedly threaten someone, and they keep saying the same thing. I was trying to provoke them into attacking me, but they wouldn't do it

Even games like NWN/KOTOR suffer from dialogue problems. You should not be able to repeat the same dialogue option over and over to get the result you want.

I preferred KOTOR's dialogue to NWN I have to say, though you are right it wasn't perfect.

Bethesda is going to throw this away and create thier Fallowind

GS: Will Bethesda's Fallout 3 retain any elements of the "Van Buren" game that was in development at Black Isle Studios? Reports are that it was nearly complete.

TH: No, we're going to start fresh.

No. They are from the cancelled Fallout 3.

This is the new screenshot from Bethesda's version:

heh, of course they are starting fresh it'd be a screwed up game if they didn't. you can't just pick up some game halfway done and complete it with a different team. they probably couldn't even figure out what everything does right away even with the source code(and i doubt it's documented well).

it would be a shame for "Van Buren" never to get released if it was really close to being done(which doesn't look like it). maybe it'll be a freebie with fo3 or open sourced.

Morrowind isn't that buggy. Very stable compared to the first release of Fallout 2 at least.

Very true. Fallout2 make Morrowind look incredibly stable. I'm looking forward to the new Fallout.

source code would be very cool. But I doubt it. too many companies are too paranoid or embarrassed to do it

I give kudos to those gusy who made Call to Power 1 and 2 for doing it. The games may have sucked, but at least they did a cool thing by releasing the code.

Considering how badly Interplay needs money right now I don't see them just giving out code.
