  • Hey thanks, Alex. Actually it happened that I went to Fry's Electrontics to see if I could find a SmartGlove for a friend and decided to check to see if I could find Deus Ex - sure enough I got it for $12.99 from Sold-Out Company.

Skanky Burns, you highly recommend Thief 2? Not the first game, Thief? I've heard great stuff about those games too.

    • They optimised the game fonts for the xbox too. Considering that expected revenue for the pc version was only 10%, they didn't feel it was worth the effort apparently.

Barinthus: I recommend the first version much higher than Thief 2. Thief 2 had the feeling it was somewhat rushed while Thief 1 was perfectly polished. Don't get me wrong though, Thief 2 is highly polished compared to most games available, but not to the same extent that Thief 1 was.

While on the topic, Thief Gold (Thief 1 plus a few extra missions) is highly recommended also but according to Alinestra, the extra missions slow the story down somewhat. Not having played the Gold version, I can't comment.

Thief 3 is quite the mixed bag. The missions are great (well, the first level is quite good), the town between missions is so awful as to turn people off the game completely. I have yet to go back to the game and try the next level due to being in the town.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

In the final mission, a strong breeze will be able to kill you.
It is great, though not as good as Deus Ex unless thieving is something close to your heart.
