Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

It's a slight chance there'll be some argument over that...
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

Yeah, some people like the sims(like me), others do not. From experience, those two views usually collides here in OG...

Most opposing views tend to do so..

Yeah, but just take one, single look at this thread devoted to the game "The Movies"...

Yeah but it's mostly friendly banter here.

This sounds like a lot until you realize there are currently 6,797,947 different costume combinations (although our costume guru assures me that this number is low because it doesn't include hats), so your actors needs never fear bumping into someone in the same outfit at the movie canteen.

I want to go back to this, since it was highlighted by ADG earlier. Who is excited by the obvious customisation possibilities? How much focus should that get over whatever gameplay is in the game?

Of course we'll have to see what the gameplay is like first, but I'm already suspicious that they are hiding lack of content by telling you excitedly how much pseudo-content there is.

It's not that part that makes me wonder about how much gameplay there is... that part takes less time to make than the actual movie making part, where you're supposed to be able to view the 'movie' afterwards... that is what scares me about the game, since that part has taken much longer to make, and not a part I would call neccesary for the game... I'd prefer movies to be just some numbers, to make the game more deep...

Well I have to agree. This game looks like heaven for a Sims fan, and probably awful for other gamers.

                      But let's wait and see.

Bumping this age old thread to say that the game has gone gold

Soon we'll finally see if the game is as good as it sounds, or if it's as crappy as we fear

This game reminds me of a game I played long ago, a Mac-only game made as far as I could tell by one guy in his spare time ...
                              SimCinema

There's no PC version afaict, although I have never heard of Hollywood Mogul.

Any Mac fans out there should take a look at this game though ... it's shareware-freeware, so legal to download from above site

Squeeeee! Um, that was an excited noise.

I can't help it if I find these sort of games positively delightful to play.

I do have to say that website is some slow-loading ****.

Black and White 2, Civ4 coming soon. Now this game too. Damn.

I might just have to not get B&W2.
