  • Wrong. Besides, you're already at war with England, care to add America to the list?

I have consulted the Record of Fate, and it seems that we're due to only rise to minor naval skirmishes. You'll be back on our side by 1812 or so, don't worry. As long as some enterprising individual unseats Vice President Adams when he ascends to the Presidency, he never liked France that much... I wonder who would be suitable?
    All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

              • Chapter 6 – Free at last

The next morning the Americans attended the funeral of King Louis XVI, Prince Louis and Marquis de Lafayette.
“Oh Master, it’s so sad! Poor people! What have they done wrong”, Sally Hemings asked her master Thomas Jefferson.
He replied “Nothing dear Sally. Nothing at all. They were our friends. Friends of the USA.”
“Lafayette and King Louis were my dear friends”, Benjamin Franklin added. “And little Louis never hurt a fly. Why did he have to die? I always expected they would outlive me.”
“I’m very sad too, but we shouldn’t torture ourselves because of it, Ben. There is nothing we could have done to prevent it.”

Benjamin Franklin disregarded the last remark.
“I’m very old and sick. My bladder stone’s killing me. I suspect I won’t see my beloved Philadelphia again. And to think that I continue to live while innocent souls like little Louis die. I would gladly change place with him, if only I could.”

“Oh, Master. I’d like to pray for their souls. May I go to that chapel over there to pray?”
“Go ahead Sally, but don’t stay too long.”

                *********

Meanwhile at the Tuileries Palace, Queen Marie-Antoinette was entertaining her personal bodyguard Nicholas Chauvin. She was pouring him glass after glass of wine.
                “Have another one, dear Nicholas.”
“With pleasure Marie. Would you care to join me?”

Nicholas drank from his glass and then offered his glass to the Queen. He was already drunk, but the Queen needed him to fall asleep. She accepted the wine and then, she suggested they change drinks. They switched to bourbon and soon Chauvin was unconscious. Marie-Antoinette used the opportunity to sneak out and she spent the rest of the day hiding at the home of one of her maids until the arranged time to meet Blücher and Jefferson.

When she arrived to café Stock, the other two men were already there. They concluded their business quickly and half an hour later she was already on her way to Austria with forged papers. And she would have succeeded too.

Arriving at the border checkpoint she learned in horror that Austria had declared war on France and that she couldn’t leave the country. To make things worse, one of the border guards recognised her and she was promptly returned to Paris. An ad hoc tribunal was set up for her in the National Assembly and the judges found her guilty of high treason and sentenced her to death by guillotine early in the morning.

“Her papers were issued by Mr. Thomas Jefferson. He must be arrested for questioning”, Robespierre ordered.
“The royal guard can’t find him anywhere”, Napoléon replied. “He’s not in his hotel. He must have been a spy for the foreign powers and went underground.”
                “Keep looking for him.”

                *********

The next morning at 7 AM sharp Kassiopeia was brought to Place de la Révolution and executed in front of a mob shouting ‘traitor’. She was the first woman executed since the onset of the Reign of Terror.

Benjamin Franklin didn’t want to attend this terrible spectacle. He was also concerned because of the fact that neither Thomas Jefferson nor Sally Hemings have returned to their room. He went looking for them. He decided to start with the chapel where Sally went to pray. When he entered the chapel, he noticed Sally had still been there, praying. When he looked closer, he saw she wasn’t moving. Yes, HongHu was dead. Free at last! At that moment the bells struck 7 o’clock sharp. Benjamin Franklin rushed out of the chapel to call for help and soon afterwards everybody came.

                “Lead poisoning”, Guillotin diagnosed quickly.
“Hmm, strange, really strange. She’s wrapped in some kind of a very long cord. But fairly thin. And a wooden cross is attached to one of the cord’s ends”, General Bonaparte observed the scene. “Could this be a religious motivated murder?”
“Probably not General”, replied Danton “It’s the work of the famous lead poisoner. His third murder.”
“You are probably right. But what is this?”

General Bonaparte looked closer and he noticed something pinned to her dress.
“A badge of some kind. It resembles the emblem of the royal guard, but it isn’t quite the same thing. I’ve never seen a badge like this before. The letters PUFC are embossed on the metal surface.”

“Sir, there is something else”, Chauvin noticed something on the wooden cross.
“It’s a piece of metal of some kind. And it’s attached to the wooden cross”, said Napoléon and then continued “Her hands are joined together in the posture of prayer. I wonder if we can find anything in between them.”

And they managed to separate her hands and a small fragment of a much larger paper fell on the ground. Napoléon picked it up and read out loud what was written on it:
                “Rich!”

                            • We can take out the Prussian later. Besides, I don't think he'd be as insanely stupid as to leave such an incriminating piece of evidence behind this time, when the lead poisoner hasn't before. Theben needs to die first, even if he's mixed up his style lately to try and throw off the scent.

                              • That's not a Prussian badge loinburger PUFC stands for Plan universitaire des Forces canadiennes aka PUFC.

But it could also be a Petersborough United Football Club except the club hadn't been formed yet in 1790.

But it could also represent a publishing house 'Presse Universities etc
