There was also Mortal Kombat which was nice. I liked it more than MK 2 for some reason. The biggest downer in MK2, was Reptile. He looked cool, and had a cool finisher, and powers, but he was slow and you could see most of his attacks coming form a mile away. Scorpion and Raiden were always my favs, but i guess lately, I've been getting into Sub Zero more.
Do you guys remeber Mario Paint? Thta was actually kind of cool, wehn you play w/ the mouse, and do the fly swatter game. I ruled at that.

          Mario Paint was fun.

          Countless ways to kill mario!

          Making songs was fun, too.

            Super Mario World
            Super Mario Kart
            Donkey Kong Country
            Final Fantasy II
            Dr. Mario

            are clearly the best!

It wasn't on the list, but I also loved Super Mario All-Stars.

I almost put it on there, but I figured that since it was basically just a repackaging of NES games that it really doesn't belong in "Best of the SNES".

SM3 could compete with SNES games though, man that was an amazing game for its time.

I'm surprised final fnatasy 3 and chrono trigger aren't in the lead.

I've actually just started plying through Chrono Trigger again on an emultor. Great game. I think what sets it above the others aside from the overall quality of it is the combat - not too "action oriented" as to be simplistic like zelda, but at the same time fresh enough to not be tedious like the final fantasy games often are.

Hmm forgot about the first Jurassic park game, it was pretty awesome, too bad there was no way to save the ****ing game and it required 4-6 hours to play through to completion with a walkthrough!

My top ten snes games, in no particular order:

                          Mario Kart
                          Super Mario World
                          Final Fantasy II
                          Final Fantasy IV
                          Secret of Mana
                          Chrono Trigger
nhl 96 (or was it 94 that I really dug)
                          Link to the Past
                          Super metroid
and I can't think of a tenth great great game off the top of my head.

emulated I loved terranigma (though its been a number of years) and final fantasy v, which would be placed above teh other two fin fans in my list.

Mario Kart was fun, particularly the battle maps of the N64 version.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

I would take the SNES version over the N64 any day.

Chrono Trigger (great char designs plus a good setting)
Final Fantasy IV (just for the nostalgia value)
                                Final Fantasy VI
Tactics Ogre (the PSX version was ported over, but the game's originally a SNES one anyway....Ogre Battle's nice too).
                                Street Fighter II Turbo
Super Mario Kart (countless hours spent playing this one with my pals)

E.V.O. was pretty interesting at first glance, but eventually it became rather tedious (some of the platform jumping was just sadistic if you had not gone through the correct evolutions...).
