i angered him and he fought me - fortunately i had just saved. He seems rather annoying, but Illy try him anyway, and ditch FFG. No fans here for keeping Grace?

    • If you have a spot open, might as well save grace. She's not all that useful in combat. She has a few decent spells though.

        ?

Anyway, if you have low WIS/INT you can take Vhalior but do not talk to him much until you raise them, since he'll remember who you are, and with low WIS/INT you can't explain to him you're already punished. I would take Vhalior for FFG, but be careful, he can mess up a certain quest (actually not mess it up, but cause your alignment to slide towards chaotic - if you want lawful one - just follow him ).

        • I disliked Vhailor so I kicked his ass. I didn't find out that he might be useful in your party until after I finished. From what I here he is a pain in the ass, good fighter but a pain in the ass.

          • diss - i dont have a spot open if i take Vhailor - ive also got Annah, Daakon, Nordstrom - oops, Nordrom, and Morte (who I finally DID figure out how to rescue). So its either FFG or Vhailor.

Illum - Ive got pretty high wisdom and intel now - wis is 20 before adjustments for tattoos and stuff(23 after), intel is 18.

            • definately take Vhailor then.

You can use healing charms and such to make up for the lack of a priest. She isn't that important. In fact, charms can probably cover most of her priest spells anyways.

                • Spoiler:
You can get all his stuff ! - you can discover it through dialogue options. He is bound to help your quest in every way! Take all his items - some of them, namely parasites are very useful.

                  • oops - i only took some items - some sounded like they might be cursed.

Im now up to Curst Gone.

                    Spoiler:
the fiend is VERY hard. Im gonna have to reload - i presume the "balance in all things spell" will be helpful here?

                    • Fiend from Moridor's box? Hint: fight with him is the hardest in whole game (strange, but true, you get to prepare more for others). I hit him with everything I can - you get a great item afterwards. Use Annah too for her thievish skills. Balance in all things is most efficient against group of opponents IIRC, but you can try.

                      • he's the one you get the evil weapon from right? I never used the weapon, but I did the fight.

He's pretty hard. I thought I did have a little bit to prepare. But I think you have to initiate a conversation to start the fight. I think it took me two tries. The first time I did it with no buffs from charms and such. The second time I used a lot of buffs and charms.

                        • i managed the fight, though i did plenty of buffs.

Im almost finished with Carceri, though I will probably have little time to play next couple of days.

                          • Oy.

I tried to be merciful to Trias, then Vhailor does his thing.

Which seems to have reduced my aligment to true neutral My fancy eyeball no longer works

I got the enchanted blade from coaxmetal. No one in the party can use it however.

Ive sold all the junk. Ive bought a couple of more tattoos, and some charms. Im almost up to 8 or 9 healing charms for each party member, other than TNO. Ive still got wads of cash left.

Im thinking of heading down to undersigil for more XP's. I should at least be able to upgrade Vhailor one more time, and maybe TNO, whos level 14 mage.

Vhailors lack of mercy wont affect things again, will it?

i got him so near the end of the game, he wasn't a big factor for me.

you should be pretty close. You should be plenty strong enough to finish the game now if you want. I don't think I was even 14 when I finished.

If vhailors dead, but still in my party, then he cant mess up a dialog right? but i can still revive him when needed right? That gives me some ideas for undersigil
