        • Atari 8bit game?

oh and i agree that ADG's 'lite' guess sounds like M.U.L.E or one of its clones. Did it have funky music?

          • I don't remember the music... I just looked at the underdogs site, and searched for M.U.L.E. but the game it found didn't look like this game at all

It had much better graphics, and was avaliable on the Amiga

              • Was it Battle Isle, or one of the spin-offs?

                • It wasn't Battle Isle, or anything near it...

I can't really remember more about this game...

The map was a grid-layout, like Civ1, though the map was fixed size, and was always the same size as the screen.
You could choose between 4 different 'locations' as far as I remember, I think I remember something about a dessert and ice-look. It didn't change the gameplay though... it had a futuristic feel...

I can't give more information about this game, because for some reason I can't remember... I just remember I played it 'a lot' (more than average on the games I had... not as much as Civ though )

                          • SWEEEEDIIIISH GAAAAME!!!

Clue #1: Sweden has had many game developers spring up from its shores in the computer era. Only one has been truly successful. At over 200 employees, they've got the size necessary to simultaneously release a plethora of small-budget educational titles and several enormous hit games (one of which, uniquely in swedish history, recently went straight to #1 in the US). They show no signs of slowing down and have recently expanded into another country as well.

                            This was their first game.

                            • Europa Universalis?

                              Paradox Games?

Sort of doubt it, but eh.

It's probably really a First Person Shooter.
