The biggest window in-game can be 800*558 IIRC, which is the same size as the great library. Perhaps a separate tab in the great library, or in the science manager that uses the whole window could display the tech tree.

Not to pile on request or anything, but would there be any way to have borders re-calculate when obstacles disappear? Like when someone attacks and destroys a city inside someone's empire, there's this little 3x3 hole left in the middle of their territory. more importantly though, when you have some cities that were built WAY too close together such that one is taking a chink out of the city-influence of the other, if you go and disband the nuisance city, the offending chunk is still missing from the larger city's influence. Is there any way this could be remedied? Like maybe have borders recalculated every turn (unless that would be too intensive)? Territory would still be awarded on the primacy system, but legacy holes would be eliminated.

I've been having crash spells as well. Some when I hit "New Game" or when I am about to Launch a game. Then others while I am in game that appear when I end turns frequently. Unfortunately, no crash logs were generated from these so that's about all I have to go off of really. Also, I would to put in that the resource "Chili" was miss-spelled on the field and in the Great Library.
As well I noticed if you used the Eco-Ranger to purge a city you are prompt with a SLIC Error Window. "C:\PROGRA~1\ACTIVI~1\CALLTO~1\ctp2_data\default\ga medata\script.slc:2540: Array Index 0 out of bounds (enter) Continue?" Then you can choose Yes or No. Choose no and the game will crash. Choose Yes and you'll be prompted with this. Window Title: SLIC Command Error "Array Lookup player[0] failed Continue?" Yes/No. Same thing really yes continues while no puts a end to the game. Using a Eco-Terrorist has the same effect. When your "Nano-Attack" is successful.

Crash Collection
Here is my traditional crash collection -- the crashes don't occur with the unmodded game, but they realiably do occur with my own Mod as well as with the AE Mod. Sometimes the game just crashes to desktop without leaving a crash.txt.
But apart from these crashes I am surprised how well the latest playtest is performing -- it runs pretty fast for about 80 turns with my Mod.
Oh, and I am doing all this testing in automated mode (/attach 1 and /rnd 100).
