News Pages (Hiring Editors Now)

We now not only have our own CivGroup, but also our own project-specific news page!

News items for this news page, intended for all major and minor Source Code Project related news, can be submitted by anyone who's a member of the Source Code Project CivGroup. So the news is made by YOU! When you've submitted your news, it will need to be approved by a news editor, to allow for some basic quality control, but we can appoint as many of these news editors as necessary, always ensuring that your news will be posted fast.

If anyone wants to help out by becoming a news editor, please let me know. It would be good to have at least three of them (but there's no harm in having more), preferably from different time zones (at least 1 European and 1 American). It won't involve anything more than approving (or rejecting) other people's news items, making sure they're on-topic, non-trivial and not too ridden with bad spelling/grammar/etc.

It is color, I just consulted my Latin-German dictionary and it told me that the old Romans spelled it like that, too. I never understood why an additional u was inserted.

For newcomers yes, but not for advancers, you know no complicated grammer not much forms to learn, the downside of this is that you need auxiliary words to express some catogories, well this is simple but you can also use word order to make something clear, and that's not so obvious.

But in comparison to French it is easier, in French you have to learn actual two languages, the written language and the spoken language. Usually the written language preserves the pronunciation of a word in extreme cases for centuries. Well that is actual true for all languages sooner or later.

Finally as it should "not too ridden with bad spelling/grammar/etc" well that is something different than it should be free of that and if I consinder how much time Locutus has, I can do the job, well as long as I don't have to be present everyday. So indead it would be good to have some more people to do this job.

Martin it is spelled colour in the Oxford English dictionary. (which as everybody knows is the book with all the true English words in) . I really want a difference between American and the true English language.
