It seems to me that your time would be better spent in designing and rendering a 3d model, instead.... you basically know what you're looking to generate... so... why not?

About Loki, that is true. The latest news item posted in their site is more than 2 years old. But being online, thus maintaining a space in a server and a domain name, from then to now it also means that something's left. Although I doubt you will retreive any information about the beta pics from there, a try wouldn't cost. Besides, you never know

I was indeed quite surprised the website is still up, but that's probably just a nostalgic former employee at work...

all source code has been returned to the respective licensors. Although we cannot guarantee that each licensor will continue to support the Linux versions of their titles, we have made certain that they have all the necessary tools to do so. Don't be shy about letting them know your thoughts on the matter.
From loci I don't think they would have keep the source code do you

Activision is the licensor of CTP1, and according to the remains of the Loci site Activision good the source code back from Loci, so they should have a copy of the source code Linux version of CTP1. So just ask them or Mr Ogre.

IIRC Pyaray told us they actually used that version as babe code for CtP2, so we kind of already have that...

Why on earth would they use the linux port as base for CTP2 ??? are you sure of this Locutus?

He means they used CtP (1) code as the code base for CtP2.

Well, they took whatever enhancement recommendations Loki gave them (that were supposed to make the game easier to port in the future) and incorporated that in the CtP1 engine before starting on CtP2, or at least that's my understanding of it. So they basically merged Windows CtP1 and Linux CtP1 and used that as code base for CtP2.
