Or try to... I'm somewhat confused as to how to put something in the directory? Are you supposed to use the 'Add link' page, and if so, does that mean the file must already be uploaded somewhere, and you set the URL field to the URL of the file to download?

Yes you are supposed to use the "Add Link" page. If the file is uploaded somewhere already, you can enter the URL into the according field. If you don't have a web space somewhere you can also leave these fileds empty and email the files to Locutus in both cases he will put the files onto the server of Apolyton.

          Update v1.0.1

Unfortunately I never got around to trying again to upload to the directory. However, I'm now releasing a new version. The only change here is that it supports the altered directory structure resulting from you compiling your own versions of CTP with the source code.

Disclaimers, warnings, etc. are as before. I've been using the original version for quite some time with no problems, but this new version is minimally tested.

          More things to note
This version will check under ctp2_program\ctp first, and then ctp2_code\ctp, and will presume itself successful when it locates userprofile.txt. Mod switching should work fine so long as userprofile.txt and civpaths.txt are both to be found there. However, if you try to launch CTP then it will only try ctp2.exe, not all the other variant executable names that you can produce. If you wish to run debug versions etc., you will have to execute them yourself.

[Edit: this version removed (obsolete). New version here]

Well, 8 months after I said I would, I have just tried to submit it to the directory. I hope I did everything right...

                MSCOMCT2.OCX

This might help some of you (it's cut and paste from http://www.digitalborneo.com/downloads.html):
Your computer does not has the required mscomct2.ocx. You can download it from our main website at:

Once downloaded, copy the file to the SYSTEM32 folder or SYSTEM folder if you are using Windows 98. If an old version currently exists, temporarily rename it or move it to another folder for safe keeping. Now you'll need to register the control. Click on Start > Run and type:

                regsvr32 mscomct2.ocx

into the box, then click OK. The text entered must be exact. It may help to copy from this page to the clipboard and paste it into the run box so there are no mistakes. Click OK. Windows will tell you if it's registered correctly.

                  Update v1.0.2

I started getting crashes on startup with the old version, so here's a new one with the bug that was causing the crash fixed and some other improvements too.

                  Changes:

                  - Added '-executable' command line parameter to allow running different builds from ctp2.exe, e.g. the debug build.
                  - Fixed a bug which caused a crash on execution if MaxPlayers was greater than 29 in UserProfile.txt.
                  - Changed the logging to append to instead of replacing ModMan.log.
                  - Added a little more info to the readme.

I would update the directory entry, but I don't seem to be able to modify it. I think that might be because the last modification I submitted hasn't been processed yet...

There was something odd with the entry, but I think it should be okay now: it now points to the last attachment you posted in this thread. Let me know if anything else needs to be updated.

Thanks - I've removed the attachment which it currently points to now, so it should instead point to the newest version now (i.e. the attachment 3 posts ago).

Edit: It already does... Either you've changed it already (in which case thanks ) or else I was just confused, in which case never mind.
