    2000-1000BC, turn 250-300

The shadow of war fell over our people. Stack after Stack of enemy troops flocked into our territory. Did we manage to fight of the Frenzied armies? Or did our defenses crack and our Empire fall? Read on to find out!

    First, we destroy some Elephants:

I lose a couple of chariots, but that's a good thing at this point.

Uh Oh, I didn't even know I was at war with the Japanese...

We build a lot of Theater and we are awarded a feat:

    We engage Yamamoto's force:

    And we are victorious!

Some pinkys show op on our southern border:

And some Purple's show up from the west, hopefully our no trespass agreement will kick them out:

We finish the Ramaya! It only gives +1 Happiness, but it was cheap to build:

As we near completing to research Republic, we send our nomads out. However, one of them meets two more stacks of invaders:

We get a hero unit for destroying a barb, but our nomad runs into trouble:

He avoids one stack only to meet another:

We manage to found the city, but do we engage the brown guys?

Yes! They are defeated easily. But more orange guys are just behind him:

The Minos break our cease fire and attack:

They take our newly founded city:

Hopefully they will build some mines for us. I'm taking it back by turn 300 either way:

We destroy the force that took the city:

The Purple guys take PitKhama from Orange!

    And we destroy Puple's force:

And we destroy that barb stack:

The diplo screen circa turn 291:

Remember the pink guys? They made it Aleppo, where we begin to bombard them with our newly researched catapults:

We suffer some serious losses to a purple stack that contained legions. We lost our hero and two Hyper dudes, but we have many in reserve:

We begin the Hanging Gardens in Hattusus:

    Our Research:
    Republic->Barracks->Ballistics->Aqueducts->Map Making->Alchemy(current)

Our Overall ranking as of turn 300:

Next Session: The invasion of Minos?

That Japanese army was pathetic, they traveled all that way for that

The Minoans look pretty weak, I expect their complete destruction in 50 turns.

Have been inspired to download this mod after reading the postings of your game.Great work by Hex its a whole new game.Have to keep on you toes and be a alert for a sneak attack.Always a sense of danger no matter how well you place your units.Playing a game now only 253 turns in and its a going to take time to see if I can hold on and build a empire.Lost the first game by very aggressive AI tactics.Played Very hard -and now Hard.See what happens.

Thanks. It's a stripped-down AoM. The goal was to eliminate some of the elements of AoM that ended up adding micromanangement.

          The philosophy...K.I.S.S.

What I am most proud of are the new items added... (Great Houses, Religions, a game victory option that did not depend on expansionism through total number of cities, and the option to play with all infantry unit types as gov-specific.) The last option actually adds some micro though...

...3600pw for a fort?! What is it made of gold?
The only place to heal units in one turn, which makes it worth it's weight in gold.
Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

That's a good point... I think this bug is fixed in the source code so they heal like cities.

I suppose you could also fix it by damaging the unit with slic, but if it's fine then no point.
