    Does anyone know ( Hex... ) the huge bounuses that the AI gets on impossible? Its good to know what we are up against.

    CTP2 Cradle Very Hard Bonuses (default CTP2 Impossible)
    (version 1.30b, posted April 8, 2004)

    To start the game...
    - Starting Human Advances: 3
    - Starting AI Advantages: 8
    This works out to 2.66x1 starting advantage. Cradle's tech tree is approx. 2x the size of civ3's tree, making this gap less drastic.
    - Number of extra AI type (settlers): 1
    - No additional bonus AI miliary units, although the AI does start out with 5000 Gold (this can translate into a potential 5 rushbought units)
    - 4000 PW (or 4 mines)

    Gold and Commerce - AI Unit Support Bonuses
    - Free Unit Upgrades
    - AI Gold Generator: 1.15 (player is 1.00)
    - Gold Bonus for each city: 1 per pop point (via SLIC)
    Note: CTP2's gold setup is (5x) of civ3's setup. (1 gold in civ3 translates into 5 gold in CTP2)

    - AI to AI trade rate: no AI Bonus
    - AI max government transition in turns: no AI Bonus

    Cost
    - AI Science Cost (player is 10): 6.5
    - AI Food Cost (player is 10): 6.5
    - AI Production Cost (player is 10): 7.5
    - AI PW Advantage: +05-15% - Based on government type (via PW SLIC)

    - AI only sees what it has explored and also has the same FoW effect as the human
    comparing civ3 AI bonuses to Cradle V.Hard. If you have a dig around the txt files its pretty easy to see the exact ones for impossible.

    Actually I'm more worried about the Barbarian threat than the other AI's. There will be a heck of alot of them on mauraders I suspect.
    If we dont let them group it just means more slaves

      Ok I played a bit, I am REAL rusty but the extent of my reign was to develop infrastructure.

      5400 House of Savas comes to the Throne from Larissa's guard. Promising more public works and to connect the farflung empire to the East.

      5360 The King Xerxes Savas pushes for the invetion of the wheel and maximizes public works (from 0 to 80)

      5340 A new warrior is found in the Eastern hinterland of Greece. King Cyrus Savas, new to the throne, orders troops to explore and pull out from greece after threats from the belligerent neighbors.

      5320 In Greece barbarians slay our slinger

      5280 Cyrus succeeded by Xerxes II. A nomadic settler is slain north of Apolytonia.

      5240 King Darius Savas victorious against barbarians outside Apolytonia. Troops discover gold in a village East of greece.

      5200 Darius old a weary misleads army into an ambush in Eastern greece but a unruly tribe joins our forces.

      5140 After sixty years of insignificant rule Darius II passes the throne to Alexandros who pushes ocean expansion and troops report a circumnavigation of our continent.

      5120 King Alexandros marvels at the wheel and promises to uphold his ancestor Xerxes I dream of uniting the empire. Road from Larissa to hippodoublis begins. Annnounces we must learn trade and reports treasure found west of greece. However, he dies in battle outside hippadoulis. The house of Phillipus rises to the throne.

      5080 Phillipus announces more treasure to the East and abdicates in favor of his son, Phillipus II.

      4820 After years of uneventful raiding and exploration the house of Phillipus has no heir. The nobles call for a distant cousin of the house of Savas, Alexandros V, to the throne. Alexandros V calls for settlers to unite the Eastern empire and complete the road. The city of SAVASOPOLIS is founded in the hills northwest of Larissa. Building on the Royal Road continues.

      4800 With the Royal Road from Hipp-Savas-Larissa compete the nobles claim the divine mandate of the house of Savas is over. Alexandros V retires to Savasopolis. The Macedonians look for a new king...

                  I thought 20 turns for the first round? Anyways I might be able to play a second time but from 28 June until August I'll be out of the loop until I finish moving...

                    Yeah i opened the turn and it was turn 110. Dont matter though, may as well leave it and play on.

                          Its not multiplayer. You just have to download the savefile and put it in your save folder. Makesure Cradle etc is installed...

                              a few posts up there is a file you need to download and put into your save folder. Then load the savedgame and play for a few turns record your results then save your game, zip it and post here. If I left something out check with Maquiladora or Gig or EPW

                                DCC doesnt want to play the succession game, he wants to play MP and doesnt understand that the servers are down even though theres 2 other threads about it, so hes posting IN THE WRONG THREAD AGAIN.
