Every monitor has a model number, which is usually listed on a sticker on the back. Use that to Google for a driver, or post it here and I'll see what I can find out (in that case also post your Windows version).

As Locutus is writing it I think that it has something to do with the refresh rate.

If you can't find an appropriate driver that solves your problem you can also try the various forums related to hardware and/or monitor problems, you are likely to find a solution rather quickly this way... if there is one of course.

That is a typical problem of Windows actually.

The monitor might be able to run more and by the sound of it, Daewoo is producing monitors.

try one of the following links, they have some drivers to download.

Download DAEWOO Monitor drivers, firmware, bios, tools, utilities

if not, you have to use either a tool for the grahpic-card or (depending on the Windoofs-version) change the registry.

I had similar problems with my PC, but I fixed by telling windows, that the only refresh-rate available is 100Hz, which both my monitor and graphic-card can run

Couldn't find that one on that site...

http://dwe.co.kr/eng/support/man_mai...subject=Others (it's #17: [Monitor Driver] 17" B Series (7**B); on page 4 there's also a WinXP only driver (#53), you could try both in you indeed have WinXP (starting with the WinXP only driver))

I'm not sure if your mon is

            I also found a manual: http://dwe.co.kr/eng/support/manual_...r_712B_ENG.pdf

At 1024x768, you can have a resolution up to 85 Hz. At 1280x1024 it only lists 60 Hz, but I bet it'll work fine on 70ish as well (possibly using a driver, else using the tools Gilg mentioned)

The top link requires you to register free for download though.

I just tried 70, but the screen just went blank

Then I tried 1024x768 in 85 and that worked fine

I'm playing the game now, but it still blinks

I'll try to change the resolution to 1024x768

                    EDIT: Also flickers there

Hmm, looks like this might be a known issue for your graphics card: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...7&page=1&pp=15

Didn't read the whole thread but they say nVidia was working on a solution... but that was like 6 months ago. On at least some systems the solution seems to be to set your refresh rate to 100 Hz, but your monitor can't handle that so that won't help you.

Edit: further googling tells me the solution should be to download this driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_56.72

(I *think* that should work for your PC but I'm not entirely sure -- but if it doesn't help it doesn't hurt either so give it a shot and roll back if it doesn't work at all).

That doesn't sound like the monitor at all.

Might sound like a stupid question, but how big is your power supply?

That shall do..........There can be problems with too small power supplies, but that isn't the case...........

The flickering, is it actually a normal flicker or the screen going blanck?

Which kind of CPU do you use (MHz)?
                            Which motherboard?

It's just the screen going blank for 1/10 second, each 5 seconds... don't know the difference between flickering and just going blank for short time...

Tried to ICQ you but didn't work.........

CTP2 is the only game you have the problem?

Flickering would be more that you see the refresh of the screen, but a blank every 5 seconds sounds completly different.

Can you check on your monitor via the menu which frequency it is detecting? (Normally it tells you vertical/horizontal and resolution).

If you try to run in a different resolution, do you have the same problem?

Do you play music? Have you tried to switch it off?
