let us see, 4 more sols of the americans show up on my southeast coast. so now he has something off my northern coast, my southeast and by land has several close cities in my south he coud attack from, hhmmmmm
now the Romans show up off my southeast with a small navy too, hhmmmmm
the mayan has been traveling my coast line earlier with a sol and now with a submarine for several turns, and when given the the oppurtunity to leave, has continued mapping my coast. and he has cities with close land borders with me. hhmmmm
I guess I am being left no choice but to take steps to prepare for invasion. so far I have stayed in my hole and not bothered anyone, but movement like that would make anyone nervous.

    • Well I can't speak for the other nations, but I am merely patrolling my borders.

              • well you can eat your words now, a lot has changed, with the disaster of rising water.

I am pissed, but I say that with a smile on my face, I lost several cities, and about 50,000 PW is now wasted besides, my gold went down as well as my production.

I remember all agreed to reduce pollution with someones request earlier. However it appears that some did not do dit very well. the americ have 5 cities in danger from pollution and one is almost 200. the mayans have 3 in the 70's and 80's. You need to sell off those oil refineries and such you got and stop the next disaster. my game said it was 25 turns from now, but sometimes it actually happens faster and unexpected . I have 1 city over 60, 2 in the low 50's and all the rest are 40's or less. I sold off my oil refineries so I am not asking someone to do something I have not already done. I did not gain from this disaster, the river moved to a bunch of my cities size 2, they were on cities size 8 to 10.

So how is this one going to go. is someone out there planning mischief??? and does not care about the pollution??? God I am a paranoid, huh?? it is because your all out to get me.

                  • Brazilians, your demand to the Romans that we reduce pollution may be taken more seriously when your overall pollution level is below ours, and indeed not the second highest in the world (by a whisker).

                    • The Americans asked all civs to switch their form of government from Communism to Fascism. Only the Scottish accepted.

Perhaps now there can be a switch.

                      • Not trying to start a word war, but I understand your statement. I am trying to reduce and sold off all my oil refineries and lowered my overall pollution considerably. I inherited that pollution level and fixed it, now I keep all mine under 50, I have 3 above it and I am correcting that. one in the 60's 2 in the 50's, the mayans however have several above 70. that was my point. I am trying to lower it and my actions do prove that. since the game does not have an "ask nice" button, smile, I have to do it as a demand, although it was not meant that way. smiling over here as I say this. ken

                        • Brazilians, your clarification that the demand was in fact a suggestion is noted, however our original position still stands.

                          • I understand you need to do as you choose. I will always do what is in my best interest also.

I have been looking at a few things though. even though the game has me so high on pollution, it is not being generated by me. my highest polluting city is a 20, but the diplomacy screen shows it as a 70. this is coming from the world pollution created by oil refineries. I no longer have any but I am still suffering from that time as well, as long as others keep those oil refineries it will get worse.
come on guys, can't you sell off some of those pollution belching monsters. I was asked to reduce pollution and I went so far as to get rid of them. I understand you may need to production capacity, but know that it will cause another disaster soon. ok, I am whinning I know. I just hate the way disasters screw up all my hard work.
is someone close enough to the giaia controller that they can build it to stop it???

yea I whine when things like this go on. I really do work towards trying to reduce this. I have gone to some real extremes since my worse city is down to a 20 only as far as added pollution. however it shows a 70 because of world pollution going on. so that is why I am still so high on the chart

                              • I repeat my offer to build the Gaia controller if other nations assist by working towards and providing the technology.
