    Way around ICS of AI!!


    I have been playing with the fles, and found a way around the AAI simply whipping those cities out.

    First, went to units.txt and gave 3000000 for shiled value for settler, This not only give it a 3 Mill price PER SETTLER, but in production it converted it to something around 100K in turns!

    Next in Risks.txt I gave -0- percent chance for a city and 20% chance for settler, thus creating a game environment whereas the AI dont go sprawling on me!!

    SO far so good, through 50 turns!

    8 AI, on a 150 X 320 map, all land.

    You might have a problem because the AI spend forever trying to build settlers and never get anything useful done, but keep us informed - this sounds interesting.

      I think a better way to do this is to add your own .aip file that builds no settlers and then some lines to aiploader. IIRC, Gemini was doing this sorrt of thing but I don't think he ever released it. I don't have a CTP1 CD anymore so I can't fiddle with it. And anyway I can't remember the details.
