Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
The game was quite out of balance but it was still fun, while it lasted.
I dunno what went wrong. I played it through once (albeit with not as many cities changing hands) and everything was fine in hotseat.

BTW I'm sure someone didn't download the scenario, as I had to download it once, so that leaves one who was missing it. Not sure how important it was to have the scenario folder, but still.

Oops. I guess I never downloaded the scenario. I hope I didn't ruin it, it was going well and I wanted to see it through a few more turns at least.
I attacked the neutral civ and took one city, but just because they were between me and my mortal enemy and my troops needed a way through. Seems like there are 101 ways to pin this one on me . . .
I've occasionally had PBEM games crash suddenly and no fix seemed possible. But I would have my opponent replay the most recent turn, send me the new save and things would usually work out ok. Since I played the Mexican (neutral countries) turn, I'll open and play it again and send EPW the new save and see if that changes anything.

Not at all. Like you say, games just crash sometimes, especially ones with plenty of things going on. I would like to know why the AI always crashes though.
Just go for it (this time playing with the scenario folder installed), and see what we get.

The Happies
I could agree to look the other way and side on your behalf for 20GPT and permanent alliance, what sayeth thou on this matter?
Below is a copy of an email I just sent to EPW:
************************************************** ************
This time I replayed both my (german) turn and the neutral turn with the scenario installed. For the german turn I didn't do anything, I just opened the turn and saved it. So DO NOT play the turn and pass it on. I just wanted to see if not taking over the neutral city might somehow make things ok again.
If it DOES work, let me know and I'll replay the german turn for real. I'll do it the same as before, except I won't take the neutral city.

Cross your fingers once again folks. Drum roll please . . .
Dont worry, as previously stated, CTP is a great game but does have the shadow of mysterious crashes surrounding gameplay that is often inexplicable in nature.
I reckon it is Lets hope the next one fares better.

Well, it was a good test. Great work Maq. It seems like the Neutrals may be the culprit. From the beginning you said that the neutrals were crashing unless you opened them and then quickly saved. Perhaps if we eliminate them and let their cities and units be controlled by a non-neutral player that historically had the best relations with them. Just a thought.
