CTP PBEM Challenge Ladder June 2006

checkMate and Pacman are not active for sure. Protoss72000 seems not to respond in our 2x2 SL game for some time now so he might be inactive as well.

Platypus Rex, I would play you but according to the rules you can only challenge players up to three slots above you. After my win against Grandpa Troll I should be in his place right now and not 4 slots below.

Think we as well can put Checkmate as inactive. He is in all SL-games (and unfortunately also inactive with updating the SL-score cards).

I think you can play a challenge match with someone anywhere on the ladder, it's just that you have the right to refuse a challenge for no good reason if it's someone who is more than three spots away from you. I started a match with Milamber when I was like 5 or 6 spots away, though I'm getting closer now . . .

So I don't think you HAVE to turn down the challenge with P Rex, but if you have too many games going on or you want him to earn the "privelege" to challenge you, then he'll have to inch his way up the ladder.

Note 5 of the rules says: "You may challenge any player up to three slots above your current position."

Otherwise I would had challenge others that are higher than three slots as well...

i think that if two people want to play a game that will count for the challenge ladder, no matter what their relative positions on the ladder are , they should be able to. and I believe this has been the unspoken rule.

however, i think the rule that you can only issue an official challenge that must be answered to someone within three slots of you is a good one. that keeps people low on the ladder from constantly bugging people high on the ladder for matches.

That means I should be repositioned one slot above Grandpa Troll in the Ladder (according to note/rule 3) and put our game in the completed games list.

Also a) Grandpa Troll vs Keygen and b) Cuaich vs Keygen should change to "Keygen vs Grandpa Troll" and "Keygen vs Cuaich" respectively indicating that I challenged both and not the other way around.

I'm probably going to loose (again) against EPW - but even so, could you tell me if I still will be in position to challenge Milamber? If so, I'm going to mail him as he dosn't seems to read this thread.

So I was marked "inactive"! How come ? Just because nobody dared to chalenge me? But ok, this will give me the chance to work my way up on the ladder again. If I got the rules right, I'll start just below Keygen on "Deity" level. So I challenge YOU, Protoss72000 ! Standard or any settings you like. I'll be Hatschy of the Canadians (or Welsh) and am waiting for my first turn ...
