I meant to have this file to you sooner but I realized that my position required some analysis.

During the Portuguese revolutionary period some events transpired beyond our borders that we were only marginally aware of. On the international scene we have stepped out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak. As a responce we must make the following demands.

1) The Scottish city of Failkirk and the Welsh city of Rhianon (I think that's the name) must be declared open cities to be kept free from warfare or conquest.

2) That the Spanish Fascist regime will make no financial moves against the corporate entities within the Potuguese Peoples Republic. These business entities are being transformed to benefit the masses and outside influences would be unwelcome at this time.

These demands are in the name of peace, and should they be met, peace will reign between our peoples for many years to come.

Demand is not a word we enjoy hearing, especially from someone we have been so generous to not only in scientific research, Border territories or patience

Exactly what concerns, business or otherwise, do you have with these cities?

Current consideration have no plans to involve ourselves with your countries interior/internal affairs.

I would like an explanation as to how exactly you determine my military actions to be any of your concern?

I ask, I am not, as you put it, demanding, for that particular word describes a superior position, of which i feel compelled to say I count you as a friend and neighbor, not one to be concerned with in regards to military jurisdiction.

While we appretiate your generosity in the past and owe much to the Spanish nation we must look to the future. Your current internal politics are violent and disturbing.

There are some cultural and scientific institutions that should remain free and open to all through political and economic avenues.

We are already concerned by your country's world economic domination through your military appropriation of the London Exchange. Should Edison's Lab also be "appropriated" in such a manner we would have no choice but to seek remedies through any means.

Perhaps, you would be willing to share in the care taking of these institutional resources. Otherwise, once again we must demand for the sake of peace and humanity that you leave these resources open and free.
