I presume you speak of terraforming. I'm not aware of any such reference sheet. The cost can vary from 220PW for terraforming grassland to plains, to 9000PW to terraform glacier to mountain terrain. As you may already know, the cost depends on the starting and ending terrain and is indicated when you select the terrain you want from the tile improvements "terra" tab and place the cursor over the square you want to terraform. The icon turns red if it is not allowed (insufficient PW or lack of the required advance).

All (and only) land tiles can be terraformed with the with the required advance. They are indicated in the Great Library for each terrain through the "Terrain" button.

Too bad there isn't a "river" terraforming option, eh Grandpa Troll.

I don't think the costs have ever been tabulated, but you can calculate them yourself by looking at the file

      [Your CTP directory]\ctp2_data\default\gamedata\terrain.txt

Where, for example, you will see:

      Code:
      TERRAIN_GLACIER {
      TERRAIN_TYPE_GLACIER

      TERRAIN_DEFAULT_ICON ICON_TERRAIN_GLACIERS
      TRANSFORM_REMOVE 5 1000
      TRANSFORM_ADD 5 4000
      TRANSFORM_ADD_ADVANCE ADVANCE_ADVANCED_COMPOSITES
      TRANSFORM_REMOVE_ADVANCE ADVANCE_ADVANCED_COMPOSITES
which tells you that the cost to remove glacier is 1000 and the cost to add it is 4000. To compute the cost of any given terraforming operation, add the cost of removing the old terrain to the cost of adding the new terrain.

Thanks JB!! That's the Ticket right there! Now I'll be able to compete with GT's crazy-a$$ed maps. Who ever heard of a world with no oceans and so much glacier...bloody unhospitable, it (he) is...

You know, seriously, I've never been part of a group who knew their stuff inside and out as the Apolyton CTPers do, and are so ready and quick to reply. Thanks all!!

        Cheers

Hey Kstolzy...you certainly know GT, don't you? He's a river-munchin' fool...everywhere I go on this Hell-map we're playing, there he is, camped on some juicy squares on a river!

          Thanks for the help.

Oh, I know you're creating them randomly...I'm sure there is some psychic control there though...are you not "One With Your CTP"?
