I honestly feel this whole thing got blown all out of proportion amd for real the whole thing started when I wanted an explanation as to the turn ratio and I made a comment about Blackygryffin slowing down, not slamming him juts commenting

I decided to let loose a salvo in response since deciding it did no good and edited out all comments

I wanna play but dont feel me and him need to since many here felt i was beating up a newbie and although i did not my intentions

i mean when vets beat me I didnt ask the mods to not count the wins because I got in over my head..I took the losses

When I was competively fighting in the 80's and i would train and train hard..to what I felt was best of my abilitites

Then come fight time within a few rounds I knew and knew for sure in my heart whether my multiple kick attack would or would not have any effect..

I trained and trained but when the match was on it was put up or shut up

Ok..my point is that I feel i can have fun and compete against a few here

BUT I can also have fun and just play with lesser talent

BUT when it comes to being in over my head, I try to learn by asking and take my lumps as I have taken many

BUT when it comes down to it if I do not stand a chance I simply move on to the next game and try to prepare better

You my friend are a superb player and have taught me much

i would venture to say i am a better player for my losses than would be for not playing over my head

i still enjoy playing those beneath my level because i enjoy the game

Cuiach is kinda new and kinda good

throw out the "Im a newbie" and I suck with his gameplay

he seems to have a good grip on what to do

He must have played some great players for he will be a formidable opponent

If and If I say I should win, then I have saves to prove it was not "I" that was whooping a newbie but rather "I" trying to compete with him

Granpa Troll and Blackgryffin,

I just now got a look at this thread for the last few days. Regarding Troll's request to give Blackgryffin all the wins. I would strongly suggest just cancelling all of your matches, instead of doing it your requested way. Then just start one new match under fair settings as Blackice has offered. (Two or more simultaneous matches with the same player is, in my opinion, too many.) Let me know if this is agreeable to both of you.

We all have different senses of humor. I think I understand Grandpa Troll's humor better than others . But sometimes humor to one, is an insult to another. I hope that Troll and Blackgryffin will not stay sore at each other for long. Our CTP group here is few enough in number to make us all kind of like FAMILY.

88. Chlg 88 Dimytes vs. Mathemagician; Started Apr-2004 -- In progress.

Dimytes wins a tough match that was exciting till the very last moment, when his ALP came online on turn 215.
i disovered it on my last turn, but had spent too much troops on other candidate cities already.
had i noticed some of my units earlier, i might have discovered the lab earlier. but it was not to be.
btw, mine would have been done on turn 218.

a big CONGRATS to Dimytes !
im too knocked out and busy for a rematch now, but watch out.

on the other hand, now i have 3 challenge games left:
2 incoming (being challenged) vs. ricketyclik and blackgryffin
1 outgoing (having challenged) vs. Hatschy

i think that leaves one slot for an outgoing match.
i therefore challenge quinns again.

I believe for now since it is the general feeling and consensus that I was shooting ducks in a barrel, I wasnt and as for having 5 games with one person I am up for it anytime, I am just an old Multitasker at heart

and for real, one last thing, yeah I said something that was taken offensive about the US having to save France during WW2, that sparked some debate..but go to OT and be an American, but be thick skinned American because non-Americans like to pick on the US for this and that

If you track when I reallly got into PBEM it was when no server files for MP were available

i didnt mean that you're doing this for the win column, Troll. i was just kidding about that.
if this were some other rating system, maybe. but this ladder is not about how often you win, but about who you beat. of course if you had 5 games running vs. berXpert, that would be suspicious.
