      Even Mathamagician should understand that ....

      *9 is a regular expression meaning, "zero or more characters followed by the character 9." That would
      be posix compatible.


      where as

      X9 is a non-compliant syntax not well recognized. It usually means multiply by 9. Or repeat the preceding set of characters 9 times.

      Thus, one should report a 9,19,29,39,49,59,...,319,329,339 etc. But one should also report after a9,b9,c9,aa9,ab9 and b9 etc. The last before the etc. is the most benine (aka benign) reporting format to use.

      And this reminds me of another ax9 I have to grind9.

      Why can't anybody remember to include the game numbers with the *9 reports. Note the next post is in the proper format.

        Notice how the header shows that the games is
        a 2x2 game. Game 24. The report is for turn 69.
        Then and only then do we see specific results.
