Getting Close to Starting

Below is my interpretation of the polls for the Super League Game Start Setting Rules. Please let me know if I may have missed something.

I note that there was one veto, but it is anonymous so far. Please email me or let me know if you vetoed. For one thing I want to make sure the vetos are from active super league players, but it would also be good to hear your issue so that it may be resolved. I think it is important that everybody is happy with the teams (within all reasonable effort)

Speaking of partners, I have decided that I will not be teaming up with Dr. Doom. If he wants to play in the superleague, he will have to find another partner.

I will ask Paul to join as my partner if there are no objections. If Paul is not interested, or if there are any objections, I am willing to partner up with anyone else.

In my humble opinion, we should start now. The season is going to take a good week or two to get going, so there is no need to wait for 1 or 2 players to make up their minds. How about a 10-day window for teams to "register", meaning that they must play a full round in each game. After the 10 day period, no new teams may join in unless they petition the active players as a whole, and we decide the issue by a simple majority vote.

Speaking of which, how does the next part proceed? I suggest that we elect 2 people to start the game. "The Scheduler" to draw up a list of all decisions that must be made randomly, such as which players play 1st in the single player games, and the order of play for the single and 2-player games. The other person will simply toss a coin for The Scheduler, with no knowledge of what he is tossing a coin to determine. I guess we'll call that person "The Tosser". This process should be fairly simple and not take up too much time, and will probably be easiest to do with msn messenger or something similar.

Considering that Checkmate seems to be the most dedicated to this, I nominate him as The Scheduler, if he accepts. I volunteer to be The Tosser in the interest of getting things started.

I think we should start as well.
We just won't start playing the games with The Force
until Yoda can get a team together.
If they fail to get a team together then we can always recruit another team.

As for the pairing schedule I had already worked this out with some random numbers. Actually the whole pairing system was worked out so that colors were balanced. These pairings were worked out with anonymous player names (A1,B1,A2,B2 etc..)

The random numbers were used to assign players
to the A1, B1, etc....

I will post the schedule shortly in a poll thread as to whether we should start.

Well I like the idea of starting with the existing teams and adding The Force when the Force is with them. But lets see what Dr.Doom says. I emailed him Frozzy's proposal. Should know by tommorrow night I guess.

This looks like a bit oputunistic on Frozzy's part though

Game time just a couple questions,

in some of the 1v1 there isnt a blue player, take game 7 for instance, its pink vs orange, should one of us (like me ) just start the game up?

for the *9 thing in a 2v2, if only one person from a team is at the top of the graph and the other person is in 3rd or 4th, do they still get a point, or do they both need to be at the top, 1st and 2nd place?

not sure what kind of team name you are thinking of, i really like Lotr so something like 'Guards of Gondor' or something would work , of course if you had something in mind just tell me since im good with whatever name you want
