The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Team spinning just means re-assigning the players to teams. As in re-running the random process. Or re-picking the teams in some other way. "Recreate the teams"
I've been in contact with DanQ (one of the two administrators who run Apolyton CS), suggesting the SuperLeague gets it's own sub-forum. This will enable us to find threads easier, and generally be more organised than keeping all the competition threads in this forum with 30 others. Please note this forum will be in CtP-Multiplaying, not on it's own.
However, to recieve this forum (which, quite frankly, we need) DanQ requires 12 SuperLeague participants (out of the 15 or 16 we have) to pledge their support towards a forum and that they will use the forum.
You can PM DanQ here. Again, I urge you to support this so we don't have lost threads.
Also, should 12 people support this endeavour, DanQ requests that a moderator be nominated to keep the threads tidy et al. I am currently doing this in the CtP Democracy Game, and am willing to moderate the SuperLeague forum, should we get it, and it is the will of the other participants.
The Chuck Norris military unit was not used in the game Civilization 4, because a single Chuck Norris could defeat the entire combined nations of the world in one turn.

ricketyclik is right, I wont play in this season.
Thank you anyway for invitation.
I think this kind of seasons are good to keep on live CTP PBEM.
I have some reasons to don't play in season 2:
a) I have a new game I'm playing: Raise of Nations
b) Season 1 is not finished yet, I completed all my 1 vs 1 games but the 2 vs 2 is stuck at turn 7 ( I don't think it'll be finished ever )
c) My partner co-funder of Superleague 1 drop the games and I never managed to get a new partner, even when he return to apolyton community he never involved again to finish season 1.
From my experience I can suggest you to make a hard work on rules about 2 vs 2 games about timing if you want to see some results.
And you must think about what to do if a team is broken without a replacement within 2 months or so.

Happy gamming
If you need partner for a game of two, I'll finish the games with you.

Four vetos will force the super league to re-create the teams?"
a) yes
b) no
We probably have about 50-50 chance that the current teams will be rejected by this poll.
If the above poll rejects the current teams
The next poll will be
"How do you want the super league to create teams.?"
a) Create all teams with a random process.
b) First form two tiers of players and then create all teams with a random process where tier one players may be teamed only with tier two players.
if a) is chosen we would probably still have to vote on whether the random teams are ok. Probably should use the four player veto poll again. Keep re-creating until no four players are un-happy.
if c) is chosen we will be here for some time trying to work out a tier system. I think that if this method is chosen we should go with the very first random picks we get since, presumably, we already prevented super teams and newbie teams by our tier system.
In any case, I do agree with Frozzy when he said.
"life is to short to drink bad wine"
the application here being
"PBEM super league is to long to play with bad teams."
I hope no-one is getting impatient with the start-up process, but this has the potential of being a very good tournament, so it seems worthwhile to get it right at the start.
However, I don't necessarily think the teams we have now are too bad, but if four players do think they are bad we will spin new ones.
If people are not happy with the current pairing, why not play "first to meet"? In other words, 4 people join a game and play individually until they meet someone. Once the first people meet, they MUST declare it.
This way, you may end up have different partners for each game and everyone gets some different game-style perspectives.
Personally, I do not want to be randomly matched with one person for all games. If I don't have a choice of partners (Dr. Doom), the first to meet rule would be acceptable.
first to meet sounds somewhat interesting at first sight, but it would mean that the first two meeting players are always a team and not enemies. remains to ask if we want that in a 2x2 game/league...
i think id rather go for the random process IF i cannot play with rickety
Baal: "You dare mock me ?"
O'Neill: "Baal, c'mon, you should know ... Of course I dare mock you."
Well it would turn the super league into something
quite different. It wouldn't really be a team game any more since the team would not exist as an entity.
Points could still be awarded by player with team totals (playing together or not). A first meet type of game could also bring more politics into play. How trustworthy is your partner anyhow? LOL
