  • Time for a new intro screen?

Time for a poll: intro screens

Techdeck made a new intro screen for Freeciv. I have to say it looks pretty good compared with the current one. What's your vote?

    Here's Techdeck's creation:

    And the classic Freeciv intro:

Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

IMO Techdeck's looks okay except for the main lettering. Just looks too plain and tacky...

Overall I still like the original more, but it's pretty close

Actually, I love Techdeck's lettering. I am reading it as Freec IV, but I still love it.

I like the lettering and the globe... The yellow lighting looks a bit ugly though.

I can't see Techdecks creation. Where can I find it?

I've also made a suggestion, which can be found here:

(It's a part of my tileset isophex)
