  • Wizard of Chiron -My comments

As I previewed my latest chapter I discovered to my dismay that my previous method of signaling that a discussion is taking place via the MMI (the greater than- and lesser than- symbols I enclosed each sentence in) were causing the text to disappear.

So I've decided that an MMI-discussion will instead be shown italicised and in indigo. I'm also thinking of colouring the text whenever a telepathic discussion occurs. What do you guys think? (assuming you're the least bit interested, that is...)

    EDIT:

What a damned fool I am -I had reversed the order of the markings; the usual order, ><, works just fine! But now I like the indigo italics so much I'm inclined to let them stay. Argh! Help me out, readers, I'm partly doing this for you, you know (that's right, feel guilty you knaves)!"

PS. Sorry for the loooong time bince the previous post.

PPS. A big batch of thanks to whoever rated my story.

    The future is bright.

    The future is psychic M/MI.

The future is italicized and indigo. And that's how it should be!

Good to see the story's back with a vengeance. And I think your portrayal of the Chairman is solid and believable, unlike many others. Interesting that your fiction shows the Hive and Consciousness at friction, whereas mine showed them in harmony.

It could make a fairly deep debate - to what extent do the Hive share traits witht the Consciousness, and to what extent are they mutually different?

Okay, I will capitalise on the presence of my muse for as long as it lasts, and post 'em as I write 'em. Also, I'll continue experimenting with adding a spot of colour to the text (ha, ha). So... Here's Planet!

I thought for sure, the Wizard of Chiron dropped off the face of earth. I'm glad its back and hopefully I'll get to see it finished!

Believe it or not, but Book 2 is actually drawing to it's end. As and when I have finished the final chapter of book 2, I will post all the chapters I haven't (that is, those five that at that time haven't yet been posted), and start considering how, or if at all, I should write Book 3.

Yes, I've thought out the general guidelines of what happens to my poor variation of SMAX all the way to the end, and all those things would be told in Book 3. Another thing entirely is can I do it, and should I?

Well, it seems one chapter per week is a pace I possibly could live with, and keep up my studies at the same time. So see the next chapter some time next weekend. Er, I hope.

                Raging Mouse, keep it up!

                You should publish these stories.

I'd like to see the Wizard of Chiron end, with a ~fin~ like Joe.

Heck, if Alinestra could finish Joe, you can finish Wizard of Chiron!

                Keep it up!

I love this stuff, Raging Mouse. Keep on rollin'.
                  Empire growing,
                  Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

Next weekend is likely to see no update, as I'm getting quite busy. it's the last week of rehearsals before the grand opening of a play in the local theater where I have a bunch of lines to speak, and I'd rather refrain from writing a new chapter than make a total idiot out of my self on stage. Sorry, guys!

But I promise I'll be back, and the end of book Two is drawing ever closer, so spread the word and watch this forum!

I am... Alive! ....I think. My fingers started having this terrible itch, and only tapping the keyboard on SMAC -related subjects seemed to help, so I opened up my old and dusty files and... got stumped. Despite all I've tried (short of hypnosis) I can't recall where I'd find the list of colouring, fonts, sizes and other modifications to the text available within the Apolyton boards. Can anyone (yes, I'm talking to you) help?

Ow, it hurts when you're this stupid. I just paid closer attention to what was found on top of this little screen I'm using. So never mind my last post, and hope for an update to the story.
