  • Would Need CNM

    Hi,

    Me and Monty are starting a 2vs3 factions games on the Veteran's map. We would need a CNM to set the game for us.


    My team would be in that order:
    1-Angels, on the bottom right of the map on the jungle square
    2-Hive, on the stream close to the nutrient bonus on the (69.51)
    3-Morganites, on the bottom left of the map, jungle square

    And Monty's:
    4-University, upper right corner on the jungle square
    5-Drones, upper left corner, jungle square

    The setup would be as following:
    No copters, no atrocities.
    Tech stagnation: OFF
    -No supply pods
    -Look first: ON
    -Spoils of war: OFF
    -All victory types: ON
    -Blind research: OFF
    -Bell curve: OFF (no random events)

    Each of Monty's faction will start with a former, a scout patrol and 2 colony pods. All of my factions will start with the same units, except that only the Morganites(bottom left corner) will start with an independant former unit to help offset the advantage of the 3 factions.

    Is there any way to be sure that there are no sidetracks and to keep the base's original icons? Maybe the two problems are linked together. Monty seemed to think there was a different way to start the game to prevent this. I will ask him. Maybe somebody would know a way to prevent sidetracks on scenario game?

    To be clear, we are intending to use the balanced Vets map created by Mart. I have a copy of the map if any CMN needs it.

    This is the same map used for Marky's excellent adventure and most of the other recent team games.

            Bodissey, this is intended to be a 1 to 1 challenge, but I would be happy to play an identical challenge with you, or perhaps you would prefer some other scenario.

            bdanv, it would be great if you could moderate. Also, Élian does not mind too much, I would like for each team to start with an additional 80 energy credits. (It does not matter which team faction you give this to, since each team starts with their teammates comm address, so it is easy to move the energy around. )This is to help offset the advantage of the 100 energy credits Morgan starts with, as well as the additional commerce bonus, although they would also get an addtional 80 credits to work with.

              Maybe then I would like to start with more independant formers. Morgan has more starting energy bonuses, but cannot switch to planned and thus hurrying and growth are more expansive. I thought I would be balanced because the university is a much stronger with research than the Angels or the Hive. Morgan also has a penalty in support wich is very devastating at the beginning for 1mineral per turn is huge in the first turns. Would it be allright for you if every one of my factions started with an independant former, and you'd have 80 credits each faction? Or if you prefer I can have only two formers instead of one. If so, the other faction starting with a former would be the Angels. So what do you say?

                Sounds good. We will do as you suggest.

                So each of your 3 factions start with an independent former also, and my 2 factions start with 80 credits each.

                BTW, I am willing to take either side of this challege, either the two faction side, or the 3 faction side. It is totally up to you.

                  Sorry, I tought you meant 80 credits each one of your factions, that's why I would liked another former. But it is really fine to start with an additionnal 80 credits each faction. So I can have only one former with Morgan, and the Angels on my team would sart with 80 more credits. Both teams would start with 80 more credits.

                          Personnaly, I would prefer the second setting with all the formers and 80 more credits to Monty's team.

                            i will be out of town till Tuesday, June, 9th and i'm not sure that i will have internet access during this time.
                            if you can reach an agreement in the next few hours, then i can start building the scenario in the weekend. otherwise you'll have to wait till i return.

                              So I am ready to begin.

                              My factions will be in this order at the same locations as above:
                              1-Angels
                              2-Morganites
                              3-Hive

                              So as Monty already agreed to the second game settings, I think we are ready to begin and you can send the game to my email with the Angel's turn.
