I would have played sooner, but I did not spot the message until today among all of the spam that I get.

Does anyone know how to create spam filters for yahoo mail? Or better yet, to filter for messages from people that I really want to see, like Stephen Harris, so that they get brought to my attention, instead of being buried in a load of spam?

I do have that box checked, but it does not do a very good job of finding spam. I guess I should start blocking addresses of spammers, but that is usually a losing game because they change their address more often then their underware.

What I would really like is a proactive filter that would find messages from people that I REALLY want to see, and put them in a special folder or otherwise bring them to my attention. I used to do this with Eudora, but I think this only works with pop servers, and I no longer have a pop mail account anywhere.

So another solution comes to mind. I am going to see if anyone has a free pop mail account. If I could find one, I could change to this new pop mail address, and then get the email with Eudora, which has tons of filtering options.

there is Yahoo option after hotmail and msn. It is not exactly a safe list, but rather a specific filter for one address. I do not have yahoo email, so i'm just guessing.

Ya -- every email system I have ever seen has the ability to add a specific address to you address book or safe list or whatever-- If you add me, this problem should not happen again
