"Ladies Tea Party" turn tracking thread

As of 2198, it appears sea levels are rising modestly. Drone scientists believe it's not a manmade phenomenon. Most factions can deal with it, but i'm not sure the morganites can save 2 of their bases.

I am herewith putting forth an interfactional proposal to help finance pressure domes for those 2 bases. I suggest each faction contribute an equal amount.

The data Angels would like to propose that we meet in the view of meeting in the neutral village of Kyoto to discuss limiting emissions. The data Angels can report that we suffered 3 fungals pops in the period 10-20 years ago but have since taken steps that have prevented any reoccurance. The measures available are economically feasible and we would be more than willing to discuss technical options

The Data Abgels do not support any limitation on the ideology or other social choices of any faction on PLanet. Although our people may be accepting of "Green" we understand that this choice is completely unacceptable to our Drone friends.

However, other steps can help lessen the environmental damages that affect us all. Limiting emissions is just one possibility. We have found that constructing tree farms serves to limit emissions without negatively impacting industrial output. We invite everyone to take advantage of this step.

AS morganites you can go green better than most. If you manage to capture a couple of worms, just leave them in the fungus support free and have them troll for other worms for cash. You will still have +2 Econ from wealth and so should do just fine

I like green later in the game for the efficiency. Right now I find that decent morale troops while in planned are enough to handle the worms.

If you want to stay in FM I find artillery is the key (ship or land). You barrage the worms and can then still kill them despite the Planet minus

I have a technical question... will the sea levels rising come gradually, and some of it soon, or all at once in 20 years?

My recollection is that it will come all at once in 20 years. If we get another notice and another and another though, it could be that we start getting rises very close together. I do not BELIEVE there will be anything happen until the time preiod specified but I don't claim to know that for a certainty

I forget at which tech that is available but I could be in favour-- I need to look up how much that measure raises the land

that sounds about right-- I don't believe we can call the measure yet but once we can we can counter the searises a bit
