Nothing especially exciting to report, except I got a message that I won an attack. How do you get to the in-game messages box someone talked about earlier to see what happened?
Chaunk, thanks for the spreadsheet! It is really a work of art. Great interface! I tried the algorithms against what I could remember in other games, and it what happened on this game, and it was completely accurate. It is great to have a way to see what I can expect to happen with respect to technology and plan accordingly.
Actually the slot number according to the spread sheet is based on your turn order, not the power graph.
If this spreadsheet can be taken at fact value, it appears there is a very predictable technology path even in CMNed games like this one. So in a CMNed game where Hive is slot 2, Hive can count on exactly 1 tech sidetrack getting to Planetary Networks, and a 2 tech sidetrack to IA (barring any other technology events).
It appears that Morgan in slot 4 gets Industrial Economics right away, and only a 1 tech sidetrack to IA.
Gaia in slot 1 is not sidetracked at all to SOHB, giving them a decent chance to get there first (since odds are that nobody else is researching this direction), and only a 1 tech sidetrack to Centauri Empathy (assuming that they are following the Green beeline). Or Gaia has no sidetracking at all beelining toward IA if they want to go that route.
Its too bad that the worst researcher, Hive, has the most sidetracking to IA, especially when there is no sidetracking in a non-CMNed game, but thats that breaks. Now I'll know what to expect if I ever play another CMNed game with Hive.
Cool stuff! Thanks!
