The armored personell carrier was moving steadily into Peacekeeper territory when it screeched to a halt and reversed course.

"What the hell is that?" the commander cried as a looming shape began emerging from the twilight and explosions rocked his retreating carrier. "Fire flares!!"

The crew was astonished to observe a massively tall trached vehicle unlike any they had ever seen. But its intent was obvious as they observed its massive cannon bark at them yet again, the ground shaking with the impacts. Looking somewhat misplaced, a tiny UN logo was painted high upon the structure. The carrier's weapons fire reached out to it but pinged ineffectively off the thick armor

"Whatever it is, we can outrun it. Get that image sent back to HQ. We need to know what that thing is"

It is now "Hive Forward Base"-- The fun will come in trying to beat that Mark2 Ogre. Lets see 12r-8r-1*2 wave when all I have is missile weapons-- could be a blast

Also -- I haven't seen much evidence of you guys slowing down the turn rate LOL-- Last two times, the turn was back to me within 2 hours.

If you want me to keep up with that, you would have to attach the turn here since I can't access outside email here

If that was the base with the perimeter defense and the 1-3-1 defender- nope-- but you will be happy to know that it cost me 3 impact rovers.

Oh and not much happened on this turn-- There were zero battles between us when you consider both my turn and your last one Its a surprisingly unfought war.

so... is the use of probe teams to slip normal units through ZoCs allowed? So that i know wether to expect this or not when i set my defenses up

Yes it is allowed as far as I know. I have never seen any rule against it. But I generally bash into the defenses anyway

The Peacekeeper naval crew prepared another salvo into a Hive position. their radar and sonar were clear and their mission was to support the nearby ground troops as a new day dawned.

Suddenly the lookout exclaimed "holy crap-- captain look at the coast"

The captain lifted his binoculars and scanned the nearby coast. "Wha-- show me a map-- yes its as I remembered, that ridge should only be 150 metres high"

In the gathering twilight the captain could see that a looming landmass towering almost a kilometre above him. The GPS confirmed his position. he was perplexed but acted immediately " Helm!! full speed due south"

He continued to scan the looming mountain of earth as his ship turned. But could only watch in horror as a number of explosions rocked the base of the earthen mountain and then the planet itself seemed to swallow him

The Hive tractor crew a kilometre away reported to their HQ- " Commander, landraise complete. Oh and tell the navy boys that we killed an enemy ship. It was right in the path of the last slide and we estimate its buried under 200m of earth. It looked like one of the Impactboatten class but we can find out for sure if we ever dig it out"

The foreman surveyed the landscape before him. he stillwas stunned at how suddenly ocean shelf areas could be transformed to habitable farmland
