I opened current SMAniaC alphax.txt and wondered if it's the latest version or not. Files have their date stamp, but inside may be more info, just some thoughts...

 It is going to be a game with roleplay - expect less than "mirroring" setup (which is quite boring imho). That would be something new and hopefully require from you strategies you never used before.  They aren't added to the alphax.txt in the core SMAniaC download, but there's an alphax.txt included in the customfactions download where they are included. So people can choose whether or not to play with these custom factions or just the original 14.How about adding to the Mod's alphax.txt these new customfactions?

 Will correct alphax.txt be in use on all machines?
 my path to the game exe is:
 "C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\SMAniaC\terranx.exe"
 As far as I was able to determine this gets saved in the game save file and encrypted later for multiplayer save. This is important for scenarios to "know" which alphax.txt to use.
 
 We may possibly need a restart if something goes wrong. I know how to do it.

 My path is the exact same as yours.
 
 For the record, I've released a slightly modified alphax.txt on 10 March, containing a possibly controversial change re Maniacal Rushing. Do we want to use it?
 
 For the record, this change shouldn't in any way affect the game setup or AI behaviour, so it doesn't matter if it isn't used in the game testing.

 Nope my smax isnt installed in program files. Dun worry, it will work here, i tested it out before. As for pass, give me anything. (not literally! )

 Yeah now I think of it the same path probably wouldn't be necessary. You probably just need to have the same alphax.txt in the folder containing terranx.exe when playing the game.
